Because of the tremendous amount of respect Sparano has for Chad Pennington and his intelligence, {quoted in saying, ''he's the smartest guy in the building, and our franchise is lucky that he's a part of it, and by all means will try to aquire him on his staff''}, and the pressure he will be dealing with this season, do you think this conversation could of happened?
Sparano..''Chad, what are your thoughts on an offensive coordinator bud? who do you think is an upcoming mind that can do what we need to do?..
Chad..'' Brian Daboll..Taught me a lot coach..I trust him''.
The comeback..the transition into our coaching staff..The mutual respect...
My question is..Does Chad have is hand more in the pot than what anyone is talking about?, and how much do you trust the guidance of one Chad Pennington?
The man is gonna be in the mix..Thats exciting to me..cause it doesn't interfere with Aquiring a new QB...and our franchise is getting closer and closer to the heart of Chad Pennington.
Also, if we lose Sparano next year, we might lose both..

I love how the Patriots organization wouldn't do this for ANYONE (player/former player/coach)...
-
We have heard nothing but negative about Daboll since his hiring. If Pennington wants to give him an endorsement, I suggest he do so publicly. It may put some fans in the stands.
-
Interesting scenario. I wouldn't be surprised a bit if something like this happened.
-
I wouldn't be surprised, but it better damn well be false. As grim as our offense was last season, we better have hired a guy that is capable of installing a credible, threatening and productive offense, not just a guy that a one armed QB enjoyed being around. If Sparano, Ireland and his guys relied only on that when it came to hiring Daboll, we've got some serious problems.
Hopefully this hiring works out though. I mean, it has to or its going to be a long year.dolfan7171 likes this. -
Considering the alternative could have been, he was the only option we had. I'll take a former player's endorsement.

I truely beleive that Chad had a huge part in this guy getting the OC position. Lets be honest, you dont just pick this guy out of the clear blue. Somebody had to be in the ear of the FO talking him up. Now I'm not saying that he made the choice dont get me wrong, but I'm sure that he let the FO know exactly what he was about and they interviewed them and made their own decision.djphinfan likes this. -

Very interesting scenario. I don't believe that they would seek Pennington for advice on a coordinator. I know they trust him and all but I can't see that actualy happening.

I don't believe it to be farfetched in the least..
The interesting dynamic that Coach and Chad have, the obvious signs that coach wants Chad on his staff, the fact that he believes he's the smartest person he knows..adds up to me...i'd be happy to see this dynamic continue in the future for the betterment of our team.dolfan7171 likes this. -

I trust the guy to give him continued responsibility, I value his makeup, so I want him to be a part of our franchise, and if I value that, than iam all about some of his decision making....I guess you dont.. -
To me, Chad Pennington is more myth than substance. The guy came in at the lowest point in Dolphins history, engineered an 11 win season against the weakest schedule we've ever seen and pissed it away in the playoffs which has pretty much always been the book on the guy. So no, I don't want him part of this franchise next year if it means he's taking up a roster spot that could be spent on progressing this team. -

Heres the way I see it..........We were 30th in the NFL in total offense this past season right? And we got some talent . Ricky and Ronnie, Marshall, bess, hartline, Long, Fasano.........Right?
Daboll went 31st in the NFL with No talent whats so ever.
Worst scenerio is we go 32nd in the NFL? We clean house and Grab Andrew Luck next off season.
More Likely is that he excells in the New posistion and makes the best out of the existing talent and we add a few more pieces for him to play with. With our defense tweaked even better , a Top 20 ranked offense should get us deep into the post season. -

Ronnie- has always been over rated, often injured and unreliable
Bess- above average but over rated by fans
Hartline- average
The statement is true for Long and true for Marshall when there is a deep threat opposite of him. -
He has said it more than once.Hellion likes this. -
