Childress fired..and water is wet

IMO Childress lost the team before the Moss signing. He probably never had the team, but the miracle year from Favre and the resultant winning masked that. I heard a report by Rich Eisen that Moss cut was precipitated when Moss went to the owner and said, "you need to get a new coach". Moss went on to say what so many and probably most of the rest of the players thought of Childress. Childress heard Moss say that to the owner and cut Moss. Moss was/is a jerk and has other warts as a player, but he was cut in Minny for being the guy that told the owner what the rest of the team was thinking.

and Favre gets another coach fired...........

Leslie Frazier is going to do a good job there, The guy has waited for his chance and good for him that he gets it.

Moss had no worries about repercussions , and let his inner voice speak . Not that he was wrong in what he said , just how he said it.

Well, we'll see, he is a Defensive Guru type, but if Favre and the OC get on the same page they could make some noise as Talent is not that teams' problem.

Basically. ESPN ran a blurb in their crawl saying that the Minny owner spent some time considering whether to fire Childress. This news was right after the Moss cut.

I also agree that Frazier will have a positive impact. I could see Minny going on small winning streak like Dallas has.

Funny thing is even if the Vikes go on a tear, and win the rest of their games, it will not help the Dolphins at all, they play the Bills, then all NFC teams the rest of the season.

I recall that coming out as well, that the owner was considering keeping Moss and firing Chilly.

Moss being awol in Tenn and not padding his stats for next years contract doesn't rub me the wrong way either.

We don't need help Padre . We need a miracle. it is such a long wait till next year , even though as Miami fans we have tons of experience being in next year mode.

Well, keep in mind D22, after we beat the patriots in wk #12 last yr, we were in the playoffs, we were still in the hunt in the Steelers game to finish the season, so don't tune into Don Cherry just yet D22.

Always hopeful Padre, just difficult to be optimistic , more a realist in this realm. Too many years of the Dolphins making me cry.

But hey , Darius Rucker has had a rebirth and seemingly is having a great second stage of his career , maybe he needs to pen a new song with better Dolphin lyrics?

I also heard some viking fans talk about how he is known for being very unhealthy with his diet, lot of health concerns...he could of very well lost respect for the way he took care of himself.

They don't of course. You need to have a BIG personality to pull off the suits he wears. Of course Cherry has that exactly . A lot of what he wears is for show, he likes being sharp dressed , but the flamboyant edge is done for effect mostly.

BTW , he is one of the great story tellers ever, kind of guy you love having some brown pops with. Been blessed to do that a couple times and loved every single minute.
