Thought it was worth noting seeing that he will be a main figure talking football in front of a national audience, and those adjectives he was using. He's annoying as hell on TV, but at this point I can't stand the NFL network personalities, game day will get my viewership.
Really - it is astounding - I can't even come up with an adjective that approaches the appropriate magnitude - how shallow and ridiculous is the analysis on both the NFL Network and ESPN (though ESPN is slightly better). It is so bad at both networks it's almost unwatchable. Most offer zero analysis - and can only laugh and give lame trash talk. I can't even count the number of posters on this board alone who are significantly more insightful than these guys. They are there because they are ex-jocks but they offer little insights into the game.
I never watch either network, they are both really bad. The NFL media outlet that's really good IMO is NFL Sirius radio. Their hosts are much more low key and knowledgeable.
The only area they know their doing doing in when it comes to hiring personnel for their programming is picking beautiful articulate professional women to host their shows...That's their angle when it comes to thinking what it is we want in our demographic, beautiful women hosting football shows, whoever is doing that is excellent at their job, whoever is in charge of hiring the football people, hasn't a clue,Their's no vision on that network imo, hours and hours of old crap programming, for which they just need to leave the angle alone (the 69 packers yearbook BS, etc) and develope new programming ideas, you have the greatest product in the world with a rabid worldwide fanbase that will watch anything...they fail in the development of new ideas, and their hiring process of football people/personalities. I remember watching their mock draft show with Mayock and a cast of other at the table..they thought they needed a hit woman in there so they gave us one, she had no clue what she was doing there but damn she looked good, I had to turn the channel it was so bad.
