I concur, call it square...the irony as you guys pointed out is that David Harris' hit was helmet to helmet contact, whereas this looks more like a shoulder...

 

It was a big penalty too...it would have been 3rd and 20 if the penalty wasn't called. Whatever.

It's what the owners want, protection for their players. I think that CC was okay on that play, but again, the owners want that called. It's not the officials fault, they are just doing what the owners want.

The no-call on Ronnie IMO, was a good no-call. The defender was looking right at Ronnie when he hit him.

 

I honestly don't have a that big of a problem when they normally call this if a safety kills a guy who clearly wasn't catching it but this is absolutely ridiculous. He clearly pulled up and was trying to avoid the hit.

Calling a penalty during a live play is bad enough but to actually fine him after seeing the replay is idiocy. Seems like the NFL is just trying to give legitimacy to the in game call.

What's funny is, it seems like every time we have one of these questionable penalties, it comes with a fine too. Like the league doesn't even look. If it gets a penalty, it's going to get a fine too.

Ridiculous. Shouldn't have even been a foul to begin with. I'd love to know who actually looks at the tape (allegedly) and pulls the trigger on these fines.

 

Open field hit on Ronnie in full view of the refs where you could hear the helmet to helmet shot from Australia. Wasnt called. UNREAL!

I hate that the league says one thing about trying to take judgement calls out of the hands of the ref, then just gives them different judgement calls. Such as there is no force out anymore, the Calvin Johnson TD week one the refs couldn't use judgement to actually see he made that catch. Then they let them judge close hits on a seeming defenseless reciever.

To me this rule is for a player that has the ball thrown 15 yards over their head and gets hit for no reason. Not for a guy that gets his freaking hands on the ball. I'm sorry but if you touch the ball or its close enough that you could touch the ball, you are fair game.

Get used to it; the NFL has always secretly hated the Dolphins. Two years in a row we got awful schedules, and three years in a row we have had our players fined for nothing. This seven game stretch that awaits us on this schedule is the hardest in franchise history.

 

The owners also do not want to lose games on fallacy calls as well bro....I can understand QB's and taking some measures to protect them...but FS/TE hits happen all the time....

Personal bias towards a team has no bearing on how the schedule is made...you play your own division 2X, then you play one of the other divisions in both the AFC/NFC....ie...AFC/NFC North (this year).....last year was the AFC/NFC South, and then depending on where you finish you fill out the last 2 games on that teams place of other divisional teams on a rotating basis as well...:up:

 

Every word you have said is true. Everyone knows that we play the division twice and then a rotating out of conference division to fill in the rest, but we always seem to play the toughest teams in the rotating division, and usually on the road or at a weather disadvantage while other teams play the easier record opponents and usually at home.

Case and point; starting with the Jets and ending with the Titans, we play seven teams that have all had winning and/or playoff records last year. This has never happened in franchise history. We could have easily played the junk out of division teams in the same division and still stayed within the "rules".

Why do we have to play Minnesota, Green Bay, Cincinnati and Baltimore all "away", when the Jets play the same teams at home and the Jets went farther than we did last year almost going to the SB?? Why must we play both New England and the Jets at home in the snow? You see: there are many ways to tamper with things and still stay within the "RULES".

Now if you combine all of this with all of the fines in the last three years and last years horrible schedule and you will quickly see that someone HATES the Miami Dolphins. Every word that you have said is true, but the devil is in the details, and his pitch folk is usually right up our ***.
