I'm all for Mike Brown sticking to his guns, but maybe nobody was offering much for him? MB would be a fool not to take a 1 or 2, but again, maybe nobody is interested in giving that much??

why not take a 3rd or 4th and be done with it, its obvious hes not going to play. So whats the point of being a stubborn ***?

That's pretty much why he won't trade him. If he gives in to Carson he'll open the floodgates and everyone will want to escape. Brown is a tool to be sure, but he is not a fool.

There is no point. He'd be either the #1 or #2 QB on the market if they were willing to field offers. What other players are going to demand getting out of Cinci? Ocho? Who cares, he's going anyway. It's the Cincinnati Bengals organization being the Cincinnati Bengals organization. ****.

 

That's why Cincy is.....well Cincy. Instead of turning a negative into a positive, they just embrace the negative. They'll always be perennial losers.

Way to hold a man hostage. I know the players sign contracts but they're not military contracts. Trade the guy and bring in players who want to be there. He doesn't want to 'reward him'? This is just childish.

 

Guys can you imagined if all their players get fed up with the Bengals front office man that would kill the fan base there and I think their owner maybe worse then ours. I would give them Hartline and thigpen and a 2nd rd pick for carson Palmer but no 1st rd pick .

While agree the easy way out would be to trade him, but why should the owners always give in. Same in SD for V Jackson, AJ Smith said F-you, your not going to cry your way out.

Again, I agree, just trade him and get on with it, but sometimes owners have to stand their ground.

Im good with this. As Brown said, he signed the contract, he committed himself to this organization. If he wants to duck and run, too damn bad for him. Why should he be able to do it on his terms, he signed the contract, he agreed to be there. Tough luck. I dont feel bad for Carson at all. Now if the Bengals had numerous offers for high draft picks to move Carson, then I guess you could say the Bengals are kind of stupid, but we'll never know that side of the story.

 

His brother only "made" the team because Carson was there. He's just been awful. Talk on the radio today, other than Bengals fans ripping Mike Brown, was that they're in the market for a veteran to backup/mentor Andy Dalton; not start. They also have Dan LeFevour I believe, and want to develop him.

As an aside, having worked for Anthony Munoz for 2.5 years, I've heard a few Bengals horror stories. There's a few you wouldn't even believe. I'd just put like this - if you heard something bad about how they run the team, it's probably true, and it's probably not even as bad as it really is.

 

Just glad he won't be a Dolphin.
