I know everyone is really “butt-hurt’ over the Steelers game but it’s time to move on and look at Cincinnati. Here are the Cincinnati Bengals by the numbers......

This should be a one hell of a game.

    Enjoy!

We really need our running game to start producing, and this is a good game to do it. I'd like to see the same kind of game plan we displayed in Green Bay. A lot of solid running, efficient passing with Henne and a lot of shots to Marshall.

The Bengals offense is scary, and I'm concerned with our pass defense going up against Owens, Ochocinco, Shipley and Gresham. Nolan really needs to have a good game plan to prevent the big play but still be agressive.

Attack, attack, attack. Beat Palmer in to the ground. Thats what you do with an offense that wants to spread you out. Take a cue from the Giants playbook since they've knocked out 5 QBs this year already with Cutler, Shaun Hill, Young, then Drew Stanton, now Romo. Use your front 7 to punish Palmer and make them want to run the ball. That line is fairly mediocre. Not that I want to see anyone hurt but thats the best way to handle a team that wants to try and create matchups in the passing game by spreading 3-4 wide.

    CHUUCH..can I get an amen!

The one problem is TO handled Vontae in 09, all of that pressure will give the Bengals the matchup they are looking for, but if Sapp is bumped for Jason Allen, with Sean Smith taking over corner back duty full time, I think we have some answers.

OT: but Randy Starks has the worst luck, in MN he knocked the ball out of Wake's arms in the endzone, in the Steelers game, that was his arm on the ball keeping Ikaika from cleanly recovering it.

Hopefully big man is pissed for this game..:D

Cincy being 6th in pass offense concerns me a little because you could literally start a highlight real of Jason Allen missing tackles to the outside and falling down. I have seen it in literally every game so far and I think we are vulnerable to a certain extent in coverage because of it.

    However

Cincy being 22nd in rush defense should have Sparano smiling. It would be a good week to give the wildcat some practice and get its groove back. I think we will score some big gains on the ground in this game.

In the end I see us winning 30-17

Good post. I think if we play our best we will win. We could shock the world and dominate Cincinnati.

Cincy being 6th in pass offense is skewed by Palmers 412 yards vs a depleted Falcons secondary last week. No Dunta Robinson meant freedom for Ocho, Owens and Shipley

Yes, but teams refuse to throw the ball to Vontae's side (and I don't blame them). Though I believe JA has improved his game he still worries me. Gets beat a lot and his tackling and footing has been an issue.

I think the footing issue is the larger one. According to Pro Football Focus hes only missed two tackles all year.

Pressure on defense will win this game for us and I like our chances of getting that. Keep Carson on the ground and we win. Turnovers wouldn't hurt either.
