I'm a purist so I hope that they go back to the mythology which means winged sandals instead of Pegasus. I didn't think that it was Harry Hamlin's best portrayal but Judy Bowker was very good as Andromeda. Maybe Christina Ricci?

Exactly.
The Ray Harryhausen effects are what made that movie awesome, just like they did for Jason and the Argonauts and the Sinbad movies.
No way will this movie be as good as the original... -
Those effects, though dated, are still awesome IMO. I think this new version is going to be great, it looks like (from what I've read) that the storyline will be a bit different. I'm gonna miss Burgess Merideth. :sad:

im pretty sure even though the background makes it look like a darker scarier place.
And im a little disappointed they went with the bald look with Perseus instead of original look.The Rev likes this. -
I'm not liking what I'm seeing. Sam Worthington here looks like an English soccer hooligan, not a Greek hero. I'm not sold on the choice for Andromeda either.
Whatever the case, please no stupid magical metallic owls named of all things, Bubo. -
