Safe to say he did not fit well with the Bills. Never got in any rhythm. One of the worst signings the bills have made.

Letting Clay leave as a free agent was absolutely the right move by Miami. His two best years were his two as the starter here, and then it was downhill in Buffalo. Miami's problem was failing to replace him.

He was a disaster for the Bills for the same reason Suh wasn’t a good fit for the phins. It was impossible for him to produce enough on the field to justify his salary. Both players were productive, just there was a vast gap between the pay level and their impact.
