We need to pressure him early and force him to make mistakes if he is the starter.

Just the opposite. Collins is a better passer than Young. Collins led the Titans to the playoffs a couple of years ago while Young was contemplating suicide.

    This is not a break.

And what did Collins do last year? Or this this year compared to VY?

Eh, Learned last season that injuries are not the factor they are made out to be in deciding an outcome of a football game, either way, Defense will still have to tackle, and cover, doesn't matter who is the starting Qb they still have to play the game.

Sorry, but I’m not going to rehash the Vince Young arguments. We’ve had more than our fair share of those threads, and this is a Dolphins forum for crying out loud.

Collins has done more with the Titans than Young has. Period.

Collins is better than Young, especially coming off the bench.

I’m not sure why you’re nonchalant about facing Collins. We’re the Miami Dolphins: we make backup QBs look like Hall of Famers.

It has more to do with the fact that he isn't mobile at all. And he's just a sitting duck for the pass rush.

If you give Collins time he can rip you a new one. When they played Philly a few weeks ago the Titans were down 19 to 10 with 13 minutes left in the 4th quarter. In the last 13 minutes of the game, Collins threw two TD passes and brought the team downfield to around the 20 twice and they kicked two field goals, all this in the later part of the 4th quarter. They intercepted a pass too in the 4th quarter and Ten returned it for a TD. Final score was 37 to 19, 27 unanswered points and Collins was directly responsible for 20 of those 27 points.

I think we are going to see Tenn. start Vince Young and they will see how it goes from there. They are going to see how their shiny new receiver works out. If Youngs ankle is nagging, they will pull him and put in Kerry Collins and then Collins will see what he can do with Moss. Britt is out.

Not really. Vince Young has been sacked 10 times this year, exactly the same amount of times as Peyton Manning.

Vinge Young has a sprained ankle. that is a tape job away from the start
Fisher is playing it smart with the game time decision

Yeah. The stats are even worse for Young when you consider he had attempted less than half the number of passes that Manning has

There are parallels between Collins and Pennington .They are both saavy veterans who are consistent even though their physical attributes are not spectacular.

He is less likely to make mistakes than Young but he is going to make you pay if you make one.

On the plus side he could be succeptible to a good pass rush and I hope we find one.

It makes more sense for the Titans going with Kerry this week. Not only does it give VY an extra week to heal up but Collins already has a rapport with Moss from when they were both in Oakland.

Collins isn't the running back. I would be more worried about Johnson blowing up the D.

Nah. I meant regardless of the QB I'm more concerned with CJ. I speak fluent nonsense.

Randy Moss? Confident we can contain both him and Washington? Assuming Wake can't throw Collins an early retirement party in the backfield.

It just seems everyone forgot about CJ. We know Moss has talent but in the last 4 games he has been a mess. Plus who knows what they served Friday after practice. You know Tennessee is known for BBQ and the Grand Ol' Oprey and Moss hates both.

Did you not see VY come in and go like 8-0 last year? Young never looks pretty doing it but that dude seems to win football games. Ill take my chances vs Collins.

I'd much rather face Collins without Britt... than Young with Britt...

No question I'll take Collins. One less guy to worry about in the running game is a very big deal. A VERY big deal. That guy keeps drives alive especially on third down. Based on last year especially you want Collins more so than Young.

Personally I think Young gives them a better chance to win... but that is JMO
