I could envision us ending this offseason with Dansby, Boldin, and someone like Brandon Graham. I think I would be happy enough with that. I'm not overly keen on giving our second for Boldin, but if we sign Dansby we might have a shot this year so I would be ok with it.
-
I could see the Dolphins signing Dansby, trading a third for Boldin, drafting Graham in the first, and either a NT or TE in the second. There would still be a hole at FS but they might be able to add Kam Chancellor in the 4th. I wouldn't complain about that haul.

As much as I love the idea of Boldin in the Aqua and Orange, there is no way I am going to give a 2nd round pick for an often injured 29 year old reciever. It has to be no more than a 3rd and then I am really going to have to think about it some more. AZ should have been more realistic last year and they might have been able to move him. I think most teams are going to have real concerns about his injury history.

Lets be serious for a second here.
How stupid of a name is Anquan?dolfan7171, Uncle Rico, Agua and 1 other person like this. -
It's not out of the realm of possibility that we trade for Boldin, and sign Dansby and Rolle in FA
My question ... Instead of the Dallas Cowboys, would we suddenly become the Arizona Cardinals East?dolfan7171 likes this. -

A 2 and only a 2. I would be happy with that. Deal Ginn if we can for a third or fourth (if we could even get that), try to trade down and pick back up our second and a lesser first.
Hopefully we can nail a deal with Dansby. With Boldin and Dansby we immediatly upgrade offense and defense. With some luck it would be nice to wind up with Rolle from FSU. Deal Wilson if we can.dolfan7171 likes this. -

the problem i have with Boldin is that when was the last time he played a full season, freak injury or not ....
and is he really worth about 9MIL per season .... because even if he is traded, you know he is going to want a new deal -- even if it means sitting out to get it (since he got hosed -- at least in his mind, in AZ) -
opinions are like aholes all that jazz......High Definition likes this. -
How about Ramses Barden? Name your kid after a condom? Maybe he was conceived because one of them broke. :wink2:
IMO, Craphonso Thorpe is more of name to get a ??? reaction than Anquan too. -
a third and a future conditional pick (no higher than a fourth) based on playing time this year.

I would rather draft a guy who could become a star. Tate, Thomas, Williams

I find it really hard to get excited about a guy who plays hard but seems to have a penchant for getting hurt late in the year..... Which makes him unavailable for playoff games, which is huge if he is your number 1 receiver.

This thread has turned hilarious. I was pondering what the Cardinals asking price would be but now I ponder the name "Anquan", dost thou haveth a dumb name?

We often critisize and label players as "injury prone" such as Ronnie Brown, Chad Pennington and others and as a result some on here think we should get rid of Ronnie and dump Chad. I just think it is curious that people might want to give up a 2nd and the youth it represents and maybe more for an injury prone, 29 year old wide receiver and the big contract he will require. I agree that Bolden is an exceptional wide receiver but if he is injury prone and can't play a full season how would that affect the Dolphins in the long run. We need talented players, but we need young talented players, without injury concerns, who can help to rebuild a depleted roster from previous personnel blunders.

not worth a second round pick
-
the dolphins have way too many needs to be giving up picks for a 30 year old wr who is often injured
like i have stated before the dolphins trade for boldin and then the first big game he sits out due to injury the whole fanbase will be on suicide watch
parcells doesnt want that on his shoulders LOL
the front office is smarter than that they know our needs. Ireland said it yesterday. we need a pass rusher, more inside linebacker production, and a NT.
he said these are KEY positions!!!! -

The name Quincy is not a solid rebuttable.
John Quincy Adams are a lowly one term president. America suffered through 4 years of tryanny and would never trust a person with a Q in there first/middle name again.
Quincy M.E. was a poor man's Columbo. -
Nothing more than a 3rd, JMVHO.

I have been saying all long that not only is a 2nd too high, but so is Miami's 3rd....I think maybe Miami does it for a 3rd, but I just don't see it....
Consider this...I know Mando is not the greatest, but I have to agree with him here....this excerpt suggest that the Dolphins "come stronger"....but what are we talking multiple picks for Q???? no freaking way...
Beat writer Armando Salguero doubts the Dolphins would give up a second- or even a third-round pick for Anquan Boldin.
"Because it's a high pick in the round," Salguero says of the third-rounder. If the Cardinals don't receive at least a third-round offer, it makes no sense to trade a team leader and fierce competitor. The Dolphins are going to have to come stronger, even in the last year of Boldin's contract. -
-
I'd be happy if we got Boldin.
That being said, when the last rumor of him being available for a 3 came up, I said a 3 and a 3 alone in terms of picks. If you're adding a player in the mix, try to get rid of some baggage maybe, but I think a #3 for Boldin is pretty fair at this point in his career, given his injuries.
If someone overbids, so be it. But we need to sign an FA, and strike on a starter in rounds 1 and 2 of the draft. Anything less and we're going to have a tough time being a championship team this year. -
Trade Brown for Bolden straight up. Both are injury prone and in the last years of their contracts. Take C.J. Spiller at #12 and watch the offense and KR/PR units put points on the board. Spend the rest of our picks plugging holes on defense and call it a day. JMO.

profootballtalk says Boldin can be had for a third round pick. I think Miami should jump on that quick.
