It begs the question: Did Parcells step down to a lesser roll to distance himself from what he foresees as a disaster of a season? Let's hope not.
I think it depends on how we achieve that 7-9. If we suffer key injuries and lose a lot of close games (like last season) then you can't really fault Parcells. We've had some successful drafts though. I shudder to think how bad we'd be without Parcells' influence. This is gonna sound silly, but next year is the year I expect this team to make a run at the Super Bowl. We'll have some experience on defense, and Chad Henne and Brandon Marshall will have a full season to develop a rapport. There will be no excuses.
OK tY for the Article bur nothing new. GUY TAKES a hit job on our guy using old facts. Not one bit of reporting or investigating news here it all on Wikipedia ALMOST BLEACHER REPORT ESQ edit this is stupid he turned a 3 yr old news story into a article lmao
Or we could churn another 50% of the roster again (remember the status of Ronnie & Ricky) and enter 2011 doing the same thing we did in 2009 & 2010: rebuilding.
Well since we haven't played the yr yet im wondering if you expect failure? if not buck up we have a yr and even if we do lose i love sparano we can tweek it edit im not ready to talk about failure
I suppose though that it depends on what the key injuries are. For example, you can't really fault the front office if Henne were to go down - very few nfl teams could survive losing the starting quarterback. But, we've shed a few decent backups recently. If the young guys brought in to replace them can't do a decent fill in job, then the blame for that has to go somewhere.
According to Michael Lombardi, this was a part of Parcells;s contract. Too much speculating, not enough knowing. Throwing around assumptions marks unwillingness to know the truth.
Parcells can't fail or succeed because he's not the GM. Ireland and Sparano run the team and Bill watches over them. This season is about Jeff and Tony. If the team sinks, the blame is on them.
