Those guys were groomed to become their teams starters since day 1. Chad sat for a year, and that is great, but no practice, no quick release, two minute, full practice none of that can simulate a real life, full speed game. This will be his first week of practicing and preparing for a game as a starter. THe good news is that Bills are banged up, but I see people writing them off as a win. Really? We are 0 and 3. Lions have a better record than we do right now, we can not afford to write ANYBODY off. With that being said....Im excited. We all knew this will happen, that Henne will have to come in. Wether it would of been by injury to Penny, poor play, or next year when he would of definetly started. Im excited for football. Yes, we are 0 and 3, but im still glad i am watching the Dolphins. We all were here for 1 and 15, so let's cheer up. Go Dolphins!
I expect Henne to make his fair share of mistakes, but who knows maybe he'll have a suprisngly good year, thats all we can hope for at this point
its not fair your right asking Henne to come in and turn around this craptacular season so far, however life isn't fair and it is what hes being asked to do. You wan't to be a NFL quarterback well now is your chance. All Henne needs to do is to play smart.. Not try to be Brett Farve and wing it out all crazy in desperation. He needs to immediately stretch the field. I don't care if he misses on 10 long balls (I'm sure Ginn will drop 5 of those himself) as long as they are trying to stretch the field. We Have to force the defenses to play off the line or we are DONE.. Everyone expects us to hand off the first series which is what most likely will happen. However I think we should start with a Mid to Long range pass. Followed up with another short pass and than 2 runs. We need to NOT be predictable, we need a two tightend set to block and gthe Online to give Henne some time to make his reads. he won't be as fast as Chad with those so we need better blocking and some shoutgun formations. We need to rely on some screens as well. Dink and dunk and take shots down the field. Buffalo is our best chance to get a win here.. We need to build some confidence in the team and the defense needs to have a closed door meeting and smack the Linebackers, and safeties around. I can handle mistakes by rookies on the corners much more than i can a high priced free-agent who is basically a DOG...
