That is on coaching, how the hell was everyone cramping up in our own stadium? Burn the ****ing pratice bubble to the ground.

With the lockout and players not able to conduct off season conditioning training with the coaching staff effected all teams this off season. I said before that with the lockout, all bets were going to be off as to who was going to be the NFL powerhouse this year.
I mean seriously...SERIOUSLY....who would have ever expected the Ravens to decimate the Steelers like they did yesterday? Close game maybe, but total destruction?
It's going to be an interesting season. -

Sparano is to blame for the lack of conditioning. He is the person who has stated that he wants 1:00 pm games in September in Miami. He is always stating that the earlier games in the heat would benefit the Dolphins since they are used to the heat and humidity. Obviously based on how out of condition the players on defense appeared tonight, the Dolphins have been spending too much time in their air conditioned dome and very little practice time outside in the heat and humidity.
If so many of the Dolphins were cramping up in a night game. I can only imagine what would have happened if this game would have been played at 1:00 pm. It is Sparano's responsibility to ensure that his players were property conditioned and they weren't. -

They weren't in shape, period. And they'd better get in shape because they're going to get this every week. And they'll get it again in New England.SICK, Ophinerated, Aquafin and 1 other person like this. -
Henne looked absolutely spent on that last drive. I wish I had a picture of him from that because he really gave every ounce he had in this game. He truly carried the load and it showed in that last drive.
Bush looked like the only one that still had something. I was really impressed with the block he threw for Henne down the field on the last drive.SICK, siciliansith and djphinfan like this. -
And as these people make millions of dollars. I wish I could show up to my job and collect a check like this. Miami only had cramps, miami was the only team tonight they mentioned on national tv bending over for a breathe on the sidelines. I'd say that's embarrassing. Hell it isn't even me and I was still embarrassed as a fan. They live here, they practiced here, and they had training camp here. What an Fn joke people.

The Lions obviously figured out a way...

Guys you are forgetting one factor we changed running backs for the same style of running game but now our backs are not suited for running up the middle.we have only one bonified tightend Clay was out, and we didnt sign a god tightend that is as physical or more physical the Fasano so we are still having trouble at depth at this position and tightends are still burning us.Vernon Carey has done nothing to impress me this year. and we spent a ton of time and money on the oline. ( yet I will give this some time time )as for scheduling 1:00 pm games that wont solve anything because its hotter at 1:00 then in the evening. its the head coach not the darn bubble that is a lame excuse if the coach is practicing in the bubble everyday then its on Sparano. we never had this kind of heat related problems when Wanny , Saban , Jimmy and Shula. Am I wrong there ?

I'm fairly certain that if you put any teams secondary in the position ours was in, you'd have seen the same conditioning issues.
-
Remember that Sparano sat just about every starter in the last preseason game. Yeah...no way that extra work would have helped getting them where they needed to be. -
-
Its the coaching. Its so obvious even the homers must be starting to see this..... -
No matter what, Sparano can't do any right by some people.
Vontae worked out regular season at a performance institute with his brother and a few other NFLers, while Smith has getting his braids did. The whole defense was gassed, and it is on the players to be in shape I agree, but you can't blame Vontae or Sparano IMO. -

I guess we could take a peak back in time (80s/90s) when the Bills ran the hurry up. Did our defenses ever look as gassed as last night during those games in Miami?

Whats ironic is the media in the pre-game said the heat would affect the Patriots defense and it ended up being the home team defense who were affected most by the heat. It wouldn't have been as bad if we could have played some ball control offense but we have no between the tackles running backs now and you can't run everything outside. The OL couldn't get a push up the middle either but they were facing over 700lbs of Haynesworth and Wilfork and thats not an easy job when you have a rookie Center and mediocre guards but thats JMO.

I thought it was great that we didnt have hardly any injuries from preseason. But after last night it was evident that the players were not pushed hard as others were. The new CBA cut down the number of practices top that with the lockout it means players will be tired unless you push them to thier max. You risk injury but if you play it safe you lose. I suspect the patriots will dominate atleast the first 4 games because the only team i can see that is as phyiscally prepared as they are is the Ravens. If Saprano is smart he will run no huddle every day for next 2 weeks. The quicker he gets them pushed into it the more dominant they will be...
