Ferguson may be able to cause some problems to Koppen because of his ability to collapse the pocket on his own on occasion. Ferguson is also a good hand fighter, who plays the leverage game at roughly the same level as Koppen does. Koppen has good balance and hip swivel, as well as awareness. We need to apply pressure up the middle if we can, as it will assuredly rattle Cassel, getting anything past Koppen will be a chore to say the least. Matt Light may be a bit easier, but who will do it. I know this may sound odd, but it might be better for us if we had Matt Roth rush from
this side.
I honestly believe having Roth play on this side would cause some issues for Light, as he doesn’t have the quick feet necessary to get under control again from the bull rush that he did when he was younger. He is getting slow, and thus uses every trick he can to stall guys. Roth’s ability to be physical rather than finesse would not be the normal opponent for Light to matchup against. Roth can play with good leverage, and is good enough with his hands to handle the little things Light will.
