I truly mean this in the least hostile way possible, but did you just essentially say "GMs who agree with me on what constitutes a good team also agree that other people didn't think the same way we did on what makes a good team"?
just vote for me at the any, everyone wins. I'm awesome PERIOD I'm so awesome I wrote period to end that thought without using an actual.
When do we actually freeze out whatever the NFL does? I thought once this began we are our own league and anything the NFL does outside of it has no barrings on this league but now we are going to conveniently add if contracts get restructured they affect the GM league. Sorry its bull****.
You girls done seeing who can fit their tampon further up in there? What's the bottom line here? This is an honor system as to reporting renegotiated salaries either up or down, and traded players salaries are unaffected due to the fact they are no longer with the original team. Can I renegotiate salaries as a GM within league minimums?
I don't recall if we had a contract restructure rule I cannot recall one but if we did then I'll shut up.
it's been around since I've been here and that's like a good 7 or so years now. Though it's used more in certain seasons then others. I'll do some sleuthing and see if I can dig anything up.
The NFL gets frozen out when the GML gets frozen. Rosters locking- at the minimum- would be the freezing out of the NFL. Regardless, there is a certain point where extra money isn't really a benefit. By the end of free agency the pickings are pretty slim.
I did some digging, and best I could find is the 2010 season but no mention of it since no one has really used it in the last couple seasons. Though Gish did a good job of drafting Ben Tate in round 3 back in 2010. As for 2009 and earlier, all I see is Saint Greg, Stan Marino and some GridIronKing loser constantly asking people if they want to join, but no physical piece of the league forums.
It's only whining if I really give a poop, numnuts. Lol, u buttercreamers are so damn easy. Keep the language clean please. - Mods
So me winning the "Your wife likes me better" award doesn't count? I still have the plaque and the blue ribbon.
Tony Pashos - in a gross miscarriage of justice he is 3.5 mil when he should be 3.35. http://rotoworld.com/player/nfl/2190/tony-pashos
Will Smith restructure The deal was signed Monday and it dropped Smith’s 2012 base salary from $7 million down to the veteran minimum of $825,000. http://espn.go.com/blog/nfcsouth/post/_/id/31937/will-smith-deal-cleared-4-78-million-for-cap
We're thinking along the lines of, if you tag a guy before he signs his deal, and it's before the bidding process starts, you can. You can also do it after the bidding process as long as no one else bid on that guy. This doesn't help you much E, due to the fact that Foster's value was set by this league's bidding, but it's worth noting. I'll let Griddles confirm it when he gets on before ya'll start changing ****.
Maybe someone can answer how the roethlisberger restructure affects my cap? His previous cap number in this league is 6.35M Ben Roethlisberger is the latest Steelers player to restructure his contract. The move lowers Big Ben's cap number from $16.92 million to $8.895 million, putting the Steelers close to the $120 million limit for 2012. GM Kevin Colbert confirmed Thursday that more salary cap casualties are coming, as the Steelers want to ensure that restricted free agent Mike Wallace stays in Pittsburgh. Feb 23 - 4:35 PM
http://www.steelersdepot.com/2012/0...isberger-to-clear-8-025-million-in-cap-space/ If that's correct his base salary goes down to $900,000 because his cap hit was going to be 11.8 Million this season, they restructured 9 Million into 2.5 Million bonuses. So basically he would have something like a cap hit of 2.8 million, and I'm not sure what the bonus figures are... but basically his base which we go by is $900,000 if that helps. Edit: Sorry 10.7 million was turned into a bonus. Link below as well. http://profootball.scout.com/a.z?s=127&p=9&c=2&cid=1161489&nid=5524970&fhn=1
So basically what you are saying is I have another 5.45M in cap space right? Just want to make sure I have this right. 6.35M-5.45M = 900K base?
Quite possibly, but in those articles it says his base salary should have been 11.6 Million, but in the spreedsheet it was only 6 million or so, I'm not sure where Griddles got those numbers from. Really our numbers are base salaries so I think regardless of whatever numbers it was it would be $900,000 as indicated by those new articles.
