"They’ll speak to the return of Tom Brady, to the genius of Bill Belichick and the general Super Bowl pedigree in Foxboro, and in the end, they’ll proclaim the Patriots as the preseason favorite to win the AFC East. However, as far as I’m concerned, that’s just plain silly.
I have four primary reasons for feeling this way, which I will elaborate on in somewhat succinct fashion..."

Glad you enjoyed it!
I'm not really into this type of offseason fodder (no real meaty analysis) but I had a fan ask me to take on the topic, so I went ahead and put this together. The Aqua Crush, dolfan7171 and cnc66 like this. -
Good to read a little objectivity for a change.
Of course NE will be tough this year, but I suggest they have at least as many question marks as our team does.
All this nonesense in appointing them heavy favorites before the season even begins is just sensationalistic journalism, but quite frankly fits perfectly with the smug, holier than thou NE personna
Let's play some football folks, I personally feel pretty darn good about our guys and their chances this season -

But, I am so sick of this ne obsession by the media and some fans. I don't care how good they are "supposed" to be with the almighty tb coming back. He's one person, NOT a team by himself.
And to add my own opinion, don't care who likes it, Dan, Greise, Morrall, Strock etc. added just as much talent to the Dolphins as that self- absorbed jerk. But they didn't marry models or what ever else to get in the spot light. THEY didn't have to.
Don't start bashing either, this is my opinion, just like every one else has one.
I am in agreement with you Kenny. This kind of sounded like I was fussing at you.mullingan, PhinsRock, Wayne Kjelsrud and 3 others like this. -
Don't sound like fussing to me. You are expressing your opinion and I totally agree with you. It is too much fanfare on the Patriots. Why not the Cardinals or some other team that is seemingly promising? The Dolphins is on to something good. They should recognize that!!

the patriots let up a league high 47 sacks last year. i think brady coming in will push that number down a little because his decision making is probably quicker than cassels b/c he's used to the system but i don't think it will go down that far.
reason i bring this up is some post up there ^ said something about "they have as much questions as any other team". sure they do and I can think of two right off the top of my head. a creaky oline and a defense that is either older than jesus christ himself or younger than the kid i haven't had yet.The Aqua Crush, dolphindebby and hugoguzman like this. -

Nice article hugo, thanks.
As some mentioned, I think NE has at least as many questions as we do, if not more.
With their 3rd rd draft pick McKenzie out for the season their efforts to improve their pass rush from last year essentially went down the toilet. Thomas will be back but I'm not so sure he's the threat he once was. He was looking pretty slow before he broke his arm.
Regardless; I like our chances against them. I think we can split the series as well as win the division, in spite of so many (here and elsewhere) who are all ready to concede defeat and hand them the division before the season starts.dolphindebby and hugoguzman like this. -

I think you are interpreting what a lot of us homer fans believe and want to hear.
Whats wrong with a little cheerleading ? :wink2:late again, hugoguzman and dolphindebby like this. -
This was actually a topic that was requested by a fan that emailed me. It's not my typical theme/topic, but I was happy to do it and I'm glad that folks are finding it worthwhile.
At least it helps pass the time while we all wait for training camp... -
I thoroughly enjoyed the article Hugo and felt it was well written and made a LOT of sense. Thanks for sharing it with us!
