They'll trade for Torry Holt now if they have any brain in them. Better than blowing another first round pick on a WR.

ESPN says he tested positive for alcohol. Says he drank during a golf outing, which violates his probation.

    I corrected my thread title.

How does drinking alcohol violate his probation? Just asking. If he failed a drug test last year, I don't understand how alcohol violates this??

    Just asking:up:

    Well away from here
It is probably part and parcel of a plea agreement. Or, it is just part of the usual spiel that gets handed down with regards to substance abuse. My guess, is that they have alcohol as a gateway substance. It's not like they differentiate between what substance you have issues with in these instances in terms of, "you can't do cocaine, but you can go have a drink anytime you want".

Alcohol, pot, coke it doesnt matter. On a personal basis, i have no quarrels with him whatsoever about drinking during golf, actually pretty suprised that would be a stipulation of his probation. With that being said he gets paid millions to play a game, so he must follow the rules he agreed to.

If his probation terms are no alcohol, oh it's a pretty damn big deal unless the judge feels the same way (their prerogative)
