I can understand why people think that Starks wasn't worthy; it's hard to get recognized as a 3-4 DE anyways. But Polite? C'mon..

 

Cote apparently doesn't actually watch the Dolphins or else he does not understand the first thing about football. If I ever gave his word any credence before, it's over with now.
Polite is far and away the best FB in the NFL in 2009. Starks has been having a great season. It would be hard to believe any 3-4 DE outplayed him.

 

Accoring to this website, profootballfocus.com, no one in the AFC has outplayed him. But in the NFC, Justin Smith has been out playing him. I don't know how much merit that website has, though.

 

Would someone explain to me, please, what a Pro Bowl fullback has to do besides block effectively, get the first down every time he's asked to do it, and catch passes. Really; what are we missing here with Polite?

I actually think Long was better last year, he struggled at time this year.
