http://sturminator.blogspot.com/2010/04/cowboys-final-draft-board.html I saw this on FH. alledged cowboy draft board which had Odrick number 15 and Misi higher than Hughes
There's another thread here somewhere about this. It's fascinating to see how other Front Offices had peple rated. I have to assume there is a good degree of cingruity between Dallas player evaluations and Miami ones, since Parcells and ireland set up both personnel departments. A lot of Dallas scouts did leave for Miami though.
Yeah I see, sorry I thought this would be the best spot for this, but I agree that Miami and Dallas might have the sameor close to the same insight into players. Interesting to me.
That looks more like the Cowboys mock drafts than a board. Look at the team names and the players next to them. That looks like they're doing their round by round mocks.
I don't know. I have my doubts that they would have projected Sean Lee to go 14th in the draft. His rating there makes me think strongly that they used this as a draft board, and once the player got picked, they put the team and round beside his name.
I agree with KB. The round and pick look like they were added next to the players as they were picked. Besides, if it were a mock, the later rounds would still have lots of players instead of only 4 players being listed for the 6th round. See HERE for a full list from people who took the time to zoom in on the pics and decipher them.
But, Alen and boom, if you go to the full list of players/ rounds written you'll see things like only 4 players listed in the 6th then a lot more than that listed in the 7th. What sort of mock does 4 players in a round? Seems more like a targeted players board set up by round-value.
I don't see the benefit of it if it was staged. Besides that, I think it would screw up their board if they did that lol. Unless they did it afterwards?
I think the Cowboys had a very solid draft top 3 imo, also if Im a Panthers fan my expectations going "IN" to the draft where exceeded greatly. Doubled up on need positions, Gettis could be a steal.
Wouldnt be surprised to see Claussen starting sooner rather than later as well. Cowboys getting Bryant was robbery. Him and Austin are going to destroy NFC secondaries if that line can buy Romo even some time.
Story on ESPN this monring, they had Lee as the 15th best player in the draft and figured he'd go before their first pick.
Check out this screenshot of a draft guide used by an unspecified NFL team during the draft. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ivRtwtEUBBU/S9B0zOAQh5I/AAAAAAAABoc/uBs4K59WY7E/s1600/ScreenShot005.jpg That's what I'm writing for the 2011 Draft. A draft guide featuring 300 scouting reports amongst other things I'll post later if anyones interested.
Maybe it is me, but is that is their list then I need to give Jerry $200.00 so he can a nice fancy board with typed names on it. Every one I've ever snagged a peak at appeared to have typed name tags etc on them, this board looks like my 8th Grade Algebra homework I copied from someone else. That's my issue with it, with all the money floating around, they had to write this out by hand? That just seems a bit odd in a facility they just spent over a $Billion on and Valley Ranch etc. Casserly mentioned that Dallas like Sean Lee a lot and that he might go to them in the 20's as well, so it may be something, it may be nothing.
I've worked on $400 million system that were designed via white board. Seriously this is personal preference; some personalities prefer non-electronic methods. FYI: There are electronic white boards that can download written into electronic storage.
