ed werder lying again?

My whole problem with this is I am not comfortable with the role ESPN plays in this, seems borderline.

Where there is smoke...there is fire. Now, I will admit that I think Ed Werder isn't always 100% in the right. Hell, he might not be 75% in the right. However, more often than not he is right. And now this isn't an ESPN story....this is a national story and it has legs. Sure, ESPN broke it the story. However, in today's social climate everyone is jumping through hoops to break a story. Jay Glazer tries to beat Mort. Mort tries to beat John Clayton. And it goes on and on. This just isn't a random report by ESPN. There is a whole Outside the Lines special about this new allegation. You don't have an Outside the Lines if this thing is just a rumor or doesn't have foundation. This means there will be other people backing this story.
This sounds pretty legit to me, from AJC.com:
Earlier in the day, ESPN informed the Cowboys and the NFL that it plans to air a piece for its “Outside the Lines” program that includes never-before-seen footage of Pacman Jones’ apparent involvement in a June 2007 nightclub shooting when he was still with the Tennessee Titans. The incident occurred in a suburban Atlanta strip club.
At the time of the incident, Pacman Jones was already under a one-year suspension by the NFL for being involved in a Las Vegas shooting earlier that year. -
