As Simpson and her mother Tina were leaving Chili's restaurant in Los Angeles earlier this week, Tina revealed that her 27-year-old daughter has secretly wed. Asked if Simpson was planning to marry football star Tony Romo, whom she had been dating since last November, Tina laughed and responded to the inquiry, "Jessica is already married to Tony. I think this is one of those "pop fiction" stories where they make up some baloney and watch the media flip out. They actually had Paris Hilton do one of those, where she gave up fake earings to some person while hanging out with some homeless dude. The media flipped out lol.
UPDATE Tony Romo and Jessica Simpson aren't married, despite internet reports to the contrary. Romo owners breathe easy. TMZ had an item on Tuesday in which Simpson's mom, in effort to get a bothersome cameraman away, joked that Romo and Simpson were married. The group laughed and Simpson said it must be true if her mom said it. Romo's agent disputed the report to NBCSports.com.
