You also get a handicap in that I'm also preparing for In_Flames' league, which has different scoring entirely.

Chris Johnson is one hell of a way to start a team.

Speaking of the draft, I have a couple of people asking me if it's possible to move the draft back to Saturday the 4th instead of Sunday the 5th. Same time, 10 PM Eastern, just 1 day earlier. Is this inconvenient for anyone? I'd like to keep the draft on the 5th if at all possible.

    Correct.

I am drafting in one of my other leagues Saturday the 4th at 8p.m. So I'd rather we keep it on Sunday, but if more people want it on Saturday, I can do 2 drafts at once.
The 2 drafts shouldn't over lap for long.

Agreed. The problem could be who's left at #24.

Agreed, I'd rather keep it on Sunday. But a 2 hour gap should be sufficient to finish the first and begin the second. I just sent out a league email, hopefully anyone who has a problem will post about it.

Based on the mock drafts I've done, you'd be surprised at how good a team you can put together.

Agreed. But it's worth polling over. I'd like as many owners to be at the draft as possible.

    Same here.

In all likelihood, the draft time won't move, especially considering how everyone joined with the draft date having already been set. We'll see how the rest of the owners react.

I'll be there either day as well. And I can speak on behave of the GMEN. He'll be there either day. I know he's available Saturday, because he's also in the the other league. BTW that draft starts at 8:30 not 8.

    Thanks. :hi5:

8:30 is a bit tighter, but definitely workable. Hopefully this doesn't inconvenience you too much.

Posting on a Fins forum about your desire to watch a Saban team will garner you little sympathy. :shifty:

Saban is the dark cloud that will never go away. :shifty:

Okay, I haven't heard back from everyone yet, but it appears that more people are either indifferent to or outright support a move to Saturday night than are opposed. Barring feedback from a few more owners, it looks like we're moving to Saturday night.

Sorry, man. But the draft has to be convenient for as many people as possible.

Are you sure you can't draft while watching your game? Your picks are pretty close together, so you shouldn't have to pay hawk-like attention.

I think Sunday would work a little better for me, but I think I can make Saturday. I believe I have something at 11 EST on both nights though, any chance 9:30 ET works better for people? How long do drafts take?

In my experience, drafts usually take about an hour. This one has a couple of additional rounds from the standard 15 round draft, but shouldn't be too bad. I expect the first 3 rounds to move pretty quickly, and the late rounds too.

As for moving to 9:30, I'm trying to be firm on the draft here. The only reason this is an issue is because more than one member approached me about it, and I'd prefer to have 11 out of 12 attendees than 10 out of 12. You're welcome to talk to the other members about it, and if they agree, I'll change it. I'm fine with either day and any time on that particular weekend, for what it's worth.

This is why I hate moving draft times, scheduling conflicts always arise. Okay, we have people who can make either day but prefer Sunday. We have people who will be busy on Saturday at 10.

How does Saturday at 11, or even 10:30, sound for everyone?

Noted. Hopefully that draft concludes quickly enough. Alternatively, it should be possible to run our draft in another browser. You'll be in the late rounds in that first draft by then.

Good luck with the first draft, and looking forward to having you guys on hand Saturday night. :hi5:

I have the first pick so that will be easy enough. Just put CJ #1 in my rank list and watch him run for 2500 yards:up:

Maybe not 2500, but yeah, no-brainer pick there.

Still, if you want to be in the draft on time, and your first is still going, just load the draft in another browser.

You had a pretty good haul, assuming Cutler doesn't throw another 26 INTs.

    Bump.

I want to thank everyone who signed up. This was a solid competitive league, especially with this year being the year of the waiver claim. Mike Williams, LeGarrette Blount, Jacob Tamme, Michael Vick ( :shifty: ), and so on.

Remember to select your keepers at some point, and I hope you’ll all be back for the 2011 season.
