Well Bush has been doing a lot of inside running this preseason staying between the tackles. Hopefully its a sign of things to come. I have high hopes for Reggie this year as hes been doing what it takes to become a better running back. When someone puts the time in, you cant help but hope they succeed. Personally, I dont see any reason why he cant be an interior runner in this division...not like the Pats and Bills have good DL's and the Jets, well they have a good D but but Incognito did fine and we got Pouncey to deal with Pouha now, a matchup I like for us.

    "Ruh huh Raggy, they did!"
"Well gee Scoob, since you put it that way here's another Scooby snack"
Your sig is pretty darn funny Oz. :)

Yet he made the Dolphins defense better when he played.

It's not as if he never carried the ball in New Orleans. He just wasn't good at it. I don't see how that'll change here, especially considering our OL isn't as good as the Saints'.

While I do tire of Crowder's voice sometimes, I don't disagree with what he said about Bush or about expecting the team to have a winning record. Bush is a receiving back who hopes to do more between the tackles. I was encouraged by the improved patience and hard running he displayed this preseason in his few attempts. But really he was brought in b/c the Dolphins desperately needed a dynamic receiving threat out of the backfield (and an OC who would use him).

Well, imo they see him as a potentially good fit into a zone blocking scheme Rafi, find the crease and hit it hard sort of running back.

Not sure if he was ever used like that in NOLA.

I agree. It was asked above how he could be more effective as a runner here and the answer is simply b/c he'll be used differently. It may or may not work, but it's not unreasonable to believe that he would be more effective running out of a spread, zone-blocking scheme than in NO's man blocking scheme. I remember reading back in '08 some speculation that NO's scheme was not the best fit for Bush.

And no one can say how he can perform in this system, but I expect we see the same sort of toss sweeps that we saw Hillis running in 2010, the question to me is will they go to Bush, or DT/LJ or Lexxy?

That is one of the reasons why I sort of wonder what our backfield will look like, we may be best served with the 2 rb set.

That's too many attempts. Once you start pushing 40 PATT you're in trouble. 30 would be better.

I hope thats not what we strive to be.A passing team...I like to think of us achieving balance and adding players in the near future to accomplish that.

He said as much good as he did bad. He said lbs cannot cover him, and that is why he never had to worry about it. Teams have to put a corner on him to have any chance of stopping him as a receiver.

I really cannot believe people are making such a big deal out it.

We'll find out soon enough. Bush is a little stronger this year than he's been in years past. But I still say he dances too much.

Whoa mucky is mad!!!! I (just speaking for myself) have negativity because of WHO is saying it. If Zach Thomas, Dan Marino, Mark Duper said this, it wouldnt be an issue, because it is true (if history of bush in the nfl serves anything, which it does) because those guys actually did something in the nfl. They were great players. Channing, who I have defended before on here, is just opening his mouth because people are listening. His opinion is not "disqualified" it's just ironic. Because he was a glorified middle linebacker. He may admit as much, which is cool, but it's also ok for me to say so, because well, that's what this board is for. To throw out opinions.

And I'll just assume the starred out phrase is "iluvyou"
