I think Moore is on the roster by what he has shown in practice and in preseason. He looked like one of the better receivers in the preseason.

When the Dolphins are down and there isn't any pressure he was able to run great routes and make good catches. Other than a few catches, when the game matters he drops the ball. If he can get over that he could be a good NFL player.

The way the roster is right now, I'd take Moore. We have Marshall and Wallace has a similar build. Moore has the needed speed.

I don't think he has good enough ability to sink his hips on his routes. He takes too long. He doesn't break down quick enough.

Respectfully disagree and I'm not saying he should be on the roster but I'd take him over Wallace as it stands. Moore is a strider, and is very fast. He does just fine on crossing routes, posts, and fly patterns

I agree with the last statement, although not 100% in agreement with the first part. Extrapolated, he would have a "similar" amount of 20+ and 40+ (I think it would still be slightly less), however those 20+ and 40+ went for longer gains in Denver. At the end of the day, a few of these "longer gains" could be the difference between an extra win or loss, or two IMO. Watching how many games were decided in NY by Holmes or Edwards breaking one play only reaffirms my feelings on this. Edwards did it at least twice that I remember (once vs us) and Holmes did it at least 3 times IIRC. That was the difference between them playing for a SB opportunity and watching from their TVs at 8-8. IMO of course.

Thanks for pulling up the stats by the way as you've been providing much of for us. Much appreciated. Thanks. :knucks:

agree with Raf. IMO Moore and Wallace, whomever wins out, would make a nice #5 to groom along without rushing them. And Sims Walker would be a great addition since he would like to play here, and it would also make Brandon happy. I'm sure those two would push each other immensely with some good-ole, friendly competition.

Cmon. Henne was THE best passer in the league at converting 3rd down when not in 3rd and long. That doesn't come from JUST ONE RECEIVER. There's a symbiotic relationship involved. Henne makes Bess better while Bess makes Henne better.

Talk to people in Denver who actually watched the Broncos play and then come back tell me that Royal was horrible and was being used to his strengths. It's not like he's a slacker who gave up on the game. His hands didn't fall off. He didn't suddenly forget how to run routes. He didn't lose speed. He didn't become nearsighted. He didn't lose passion or heart for the game. The kid is hardcore. He did exactly what his coach asked of him, and he did it at 100% even though it meant him not seeing as many passes and playing out of position to help get the other guys the ball. :tongue2:

Moore and wallace dont seem to know how to catch a football consistently..Wallace seems to have the better upside.

I would take Eddie royal over Bess..

NP on the stats. I"m not a huge fan of just stats telling a story but PFF has expanded my horizons a bit by expanding basic stats. I was looking forward to using them in the hunt for FA's. Unfortunately, it's now for looking at what we have. Oh well, it's something to talk about.
