Good post. He won't ever get the media love he deserves b/c he doesn't make a lot of splash plays and he doesn't have a sack/tackle for loss dance. But he's a rock solid run defender who draws his fair share of double teams, doesn't blow assignments and doesn't get injured. If Odrick can hold it down, I think we're going to have a very good DL this year.

Thanks for the link, good read. A lot to like about Langford, he has quietly developed and become far more than was expected of him and gets better each year. I have notice in the 3 preseason games so far Langford seems very active and always where he is supposed to be, always around the ball too. I think we've got a solid DL in this young man that will play very well for us for a very long time.

 

I still chuckle at the notion proposed during the stream last week that we cut Langford. Absolutely hilarious.

Langford is a beast in Madden. He's so strong and for some reason the game single blocks 3-4 tackles all the time so Langford is good for a sack and 2 TFL's a game.

 

I wonder if he wrapped up properly when he hit it? :chuckle:

Langford is good, but I wouldn;t say he's going to be a star. That's overstating things a bit.

I see him as slightly better version of Marcus Spears. More penetrating.

But, I doubt you'll see him become a Pro Bowl player doing lots of TV appearances and commercials.

Langford has been quietly a huge success. Entrenched as starter from day one, and has never let it go.

And I agree with Todds, boobies are also great.

 

And you know what you lose out on when you add up TOO MANY "missed 5 seconds" of boobies?..... a dirty kleenex. Keep adding those 5 seconds up and eventually you get prostate cancer, and I am NOT a fan of cancer. Granted I don't look at boobies to prevent cancer, but it is a fun excuse.... especially if you pretend to be a hypochondriac. :shifty:

Langford also draws a lot of double teams I noticed. Teams don't want to single block him much cause one on one he gets excellent push nearly everytime.

 

Does he get as much excellent push as say......... Brandon Spikes?
