Carolina Panthers head coach John Fox turned almost wistful when University of Florida defensive end Derrick Harvey’s name came up in conversation earlier this month at the NFL owners meetings in Palm Beach, Fla. “He’s not going to be there when we pick,” said Fox, whose team has the No. 13 overall pick in the NFL draft starting April 26. Fox, who was the only NFL head coach to attend Harvey’s pro day workout March 18, was almost forlorn, as if he was a teenage boy having just been turned down for a date by a pretty girl.
