Heads are starting to roll. The season looks lost but the least you can do is try to keep Tannehill clean for he can finish the season with both legs attached

There's nobody else on this team worth starting at QB either. Don't forget, Gase was hired to "fix" Tannehill. He's either going to do that, or he's going to make the decision on Tannehill. Everyone knows QB's take time to learn that new system, Bruce Arians says 8 games. So, it only makes sense that Ryan starts all 16 games this year if he's capable so Gase can make a good evaluation on what he has. That's going to be tough with this OL, but that's his job to figure it out.dolfan7171 and adamprez2003 like this. -
Plus you are forgetting the 4 preseason games, so we are already into the 9th game in a new offense. one that looks exactly like the last one so far.BigNastyDB13 likes this. -
You cant teach a winning attitude and killer instinct. either you have it or you dont.

At least Gase didn't wait like other coaches have done. The good thing is it sends a clear message to the team, that no matter how inept we are with depth, we will release you and bring in someone else. I think the players will have to step up and make themselves better now.....if they want to get paid.

You want to consider a pre-season game as 1 of the 8 that most NFL coaches opinions say it takes a QB/unit to adjust to a new system? When they play only a handful of plays? Why are we wasting time here man? Come on... Seriously. Stop being silly.Mcduffie81, RGF and Puka-head like this. -
It is moronic to start Tannehill the entire season past game 12 IF you decide he is not the answer. Moore could be good for 3-4 more years, but again WE don't know. Also Doughty could be a huge star, but again we DON'T know. I would rather see what we have and then make the decision going into next year on what to do at QB instead of still having a question as to the plan.
If either of those two come in and the offense magically looks good, then you know for a fact it is Tannehill. If they both equally inept as Tannehill than you replace them or maybe give tannehill a reduced salary to come back.
Yeah the preseason games are for practice.... and they were calling plays from the new system. Hey if you want to add 4 MORE games onto it you can do that.
It makes no sense to keep running Tannhill out there the last 4 games IF you know he is done with the team. Those games are completely meaningless unless you use them to evaluate talent.
p.s. The Broncos starter.....7th round pick. That guy named Brady....7th round pick. With you calling the shots neither of them would have ever played a down. -
As for seeing what you have, they already know what they have presently in Matt Moore. Nothing. In Brandon Doughty, a guy who we might as well keep around and see if we can develop him. You can't throw him in if he's not ready. The guys you are referring to were on active rosters, were backups, spent time in the system, have been in the league along longer than a training camp and 5 games. He's not ready, it's really that simple. If they were comfortable in "seeing what he's got", he wouldn't have been released, subjected to waivers, and signed back to the PS. That time may come, pending development this year, but right now, they aren't concerned with "seeing what he's got" enough to not have him exposed to being signed by another team... Think about it man.
I'm done talking about this here. Not the thread for this nonsense. -
Starting Moore would serve no purpose because he probably won't be a Miami Dolphin next year either.
While I would like to see if Doughty has anything to offer at the position. He obviously isn't ready to be a starting QB in the NFL right now and he may never be.
While I seriously doubt it, maybe Tannehill will suddenly take a giant step forward in his development over the remaining 12 games. At least by watching him over the remainder of the season, Gase will be able to make an informed decision once the season is over regarding Tannehill's future with the Dolphins.
The Dolphins are likely to have a top five pick with or without Tannehill playing this rest of this season. At least drafting that high they should be able to draft a QB if they decide Tannehill is not their QB of the future. If Gase does determine Tannehill deserves to be the starter beyond this season, a top five pick should be high enough to draft an impact player for one of the many holes they need to fill throughout their roster. -
