I found this on Footballoutsiders.com. Basically, many of Elways "comebacks" were classified incorrectly and Marino is actually the leader.

Well, I don't know all the stats. But, I always felt like Marino had more "comebacks" than anyone. Just seemed like he was always bringing us back to win games late. Regardless of who statistically had more, if I had my choice of QB's with the game on the line, there's only one I'd want...

I wonder who would have the most blown saves. I would imagine it would be Tarkington or Farve. Players who threw a lot of passes and a lot of interceptions

I love how Marino is always brought into anything having to do with old or new qb's.
IMO, he's the best ever to take the field.
I think junk other fans say about Marino is pure jealousy. He may not have gotten a ring, but he still always comes out as the best of the best.
He and Shula will always be the faces of the Dolphins. :yes:dolfan7171, gafinfan and Ophinerated like this. -
No way. I mean Gregg is a TERRIBLE closer. He wouldnt be able to lead his team to the postseason, which Mcnabb did at the very least.

I've know this for years.. brought it up here about 6 months ago.. got no interest. Sent an email to the Dolphins, they never even bothered to send one back.. I hope Danny gets his proper dues!

I'm impressed by your dedication. Clearly we fans appreciate fourth quarter comebacks more than the organization.cnc66 likes this.

My biggest hope was for Dan to get a ring. He deserved so much for his playing and dedication to us.
BUT, I would never trade the priviledge of seeing him as our qb for all the sb's in the world. He's still a Dolphin and always will be.#1 fan, Roman529 and steveincolorado like this. -
I think I will forward the findings to the Denver Post sports writers and Gazette writers here in the Springs. John won two straight SB's though and then retired on top. I just wish Dan would have been able to win one.
I blame us not winning one on Tom Olivadotti. For almost ten years, Olivadotti'd defense couldn't stop anyone, and Dan's prime years were wasted away.
