I don't blame him. I wouldn't either.

And that's why he is 2nd on my list of most valuable QBs to play in Miami. Funny after he retired he said the opposite, now he changed his mind? I am willing to bet if he did win a Super Bowl he wouldn't be saying he'd rather have stats than a ring. Sounds like sour grapes to me have another drink Danny boy.

Tore me up when he threw that last pass to Clayton...

As long as he's happy with being in Hall that's cool but as a fan I would trade all those stats for a super bowl win.

There's a reason it's called "enshrinement". Meanwhile, Super Bowl rings have been handed out to literally thousands of player all of you can't even name.

People can say what they want about Trent Dilfer he has a ring. How many men can say they were the QB of a Super bowl championship team, how many players are in the HOF? Records get broken..at this point the way the game is played he will only be remembered for 1983 draft drop and the 84 season.
He was great QB but can you honestly say, that if Marino said prior to the 83 draft that he would rather be in the HOF with no rings then no HOF and 2 or 3 rings, you would want him on your team?
OR
Would you rather have a QB that gets you championships and doesn't make the HOF? -
When I bring up the fact the Dolphins have a losing record for the past three years with Tannehill as the QB, everyone always brings up the fact it is a team game and QB's can't get all the blame or even all the credit for wins and losses.
While I think Marino was a great QB, I totally disagree with him on this issue. He played a team game and as such should have been more interested in the team goal of winning a Super Bowl than the individual goal of being a member of the HOF.
His view now that being in the HOF is more important to him than a winning a the Super Bowl lessens my regard for him as a team player. -

Marino was a rockstar QB and I thank his Hall of Fame career for making me a Fins fan for life. I wouldn't trade that for a Superbowl either. As a dad with 3 sons now (14, 10, & 6) that live in the FL panhandle, I watch the Fins every Sunday but the boys haven't taken to them. They say they "like" the Fins to be nice but other teams are their favorites because of their friends. Well our youngest doesn't care yet but cheers for his brothers' teams and then my team he says.
My boys have asked me before why do I like the Fins when they never win anything? Years of mediocrity with no "stars" they can name... I can't blame them for not being interested :no:dolphin25 and CashInFist like this. -

Yes it was ! like 90% Aqua and Orange. It was like the other QB was not even there. I saw Marino up close one time and he looked like he couldn't believe the swarm of Dolphins fans either. I felt bad for Steve Young, almost...Click to expand...CashInFist likes this.
