Coach Mullen's contract will be for $10.6 million over the next 4 years, an average of $2.65 million per year. This makes him the 13th highest paid head coach in college football. His contract also has a $1.4 million buy out clause, which is somewhat low. Also, Mississippi State has the plans together and will build a football only indoor practice facility that will house a new weight lifting room and new football offices for the coaches. This project is projected to be in the $18 million to $26 million range. The football team currently practices in the Palmiero Center when they need to go indoors. The Palmiero Center is a baseball facility. MSU is also looking to add 7,000 seats to the stadium, bringing the capacity to 62,000.
