Free agent David Boston pleaded no contest Wednesday to a charge of reckless driving. Boston was charged with DUI last August, but got away with the lesser misdemeanor. He got six months probation. Boston also was arrested in October following a domestic dispute. He's doubtful to return to the NFL. Source: Tampa Tribune http://www.rotoworld.com/content/home_NFL.aspx
NFL | Boston pleads no contest for reckless driving Wed, 16 Apr 2008 09:41:59 -0700 Stephen Thompson, of The Tampa Tribune, reports free-agent WR David Boston (Buccaneers) pleaded no contest Wednesday, April 16, to a charge of reckless driving. Judge William Overton sentenced Boston to six months probation and ordered him to attend DUI school. He was also ordered to serve 50 hours of community service and pay $615 in investigative costs and a $500 fine. If Boston fulfills his obligations and attends DUI school, he has the right to buy out of his 50 hours of community service and ask for early termination of his probation. His attorney, Wes Trombley, said Boston will be joining the Canadian Football League. http://www.kffl.com/hotw/nfl
Well close. Dont think that HGH is quite a million Dollars but yeah.. He was MUCH skinnier when he first came into the league with the Cards. He ballooned almost overnight, and the troubles started in at just about the exact same time.....Coincidence? I think NOT..
Yep, freakishly large...kindve reminds me of somebody entering the draft next weekend... BTW: I remember vividly when Boston was drafted here in Arizona and what he looked like...he really did balloon up in about 4-5 months one off-season.
Well, there goes the last microscopic tidbit of NFL relevance he had. Too bad, he could have done so much more in his athletic career with just a teensy bit of common sense and some good advice from real athletes.
David Boston has signed with the CFL's Toronto Argonauts. Boston, 29, pleaded no contest last week to a charge of reckless driving. He made the Buccaneers out of training camp in 2007 before his arrest. http://www.rotoworld.com/content/home_NFL.aspx
Wow out of the league? I thought he would still be in this league but guess not. Wish him the best of luck.
I forget what they ultimately found in his system, but it speaks to character after seeing the arrest video. I mean the dude was completely unconscious at an intersection.
Classic case of a waste of tremendous talent. The guy(when healthy) was very T.O'esk.....he was such a physical prescence and used to have some dominate games, at some point being a bodybuilder trumped being a hall of fame WR. Sad!
