Classy move by Dawkins IMO. I've always liked him. [ame="http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4041720"]Brian Dawkins giving Dan Leone, worker fired by Philadelphia Eagles over Facebook comment, two game tickets - ESPN[/ame] Link working, not sue why video came up?
awesome move by dawkins and why he is still being missed and his departure still talked about here locally on the sports stations (although much less than it was when he was originally lost).
I can't really picture him as a Bronco. Honestly didn't think the Eagles would release him but should know better by now!
It was a smart move by both sides, IMO. Initially you are always going to get negative feedback when you release vets like Dawkins, but, they went through the same thing, not to this effect, but still, same scenario with Trotter. It a business, and they have to make decisions based on the long term success of the franchise. We see it yr after yr in every sport, vets are let go to make room for younger players. But yeh, it was cool of him to give the tickets to the guy.
