I'm going to say it! I know we need help on the defense and we need to address it, but there is a player on the offense we need to go and get with the 11th pick in round 2 if he makes it to us!

    That player is Derrick Henry!

    6 foot 3
    240+ LBS

    42 TD in 3 years
3500+ yards in 3 years splitting time
and I believe 1 fumble in 3 years over 600 attempts!

With him and Ajayi in the backfield with an upgraded oline we would be able to control the clock much better!

This is who I want in the second round what are you guys looking for from day 2?

Me too. I think that's our pick although if jack keeps sliding we might have to pick him. Henry would be a great one two punch with ajayi. And if we get jack somehow we would have a pretty sick linebacking crew. Either one is fine with me

Have to go defense. Have to. Jack or Alexander. If henry is still there late in the 2nd, maybe trade up to get him.

I'm worried about JACK I feel like he will be out of the league before his first contract is up. Especially if the news about needing surgery.

It's got to be defense. There's too many holes on that side of the ball. LB or CB. I'd like to see us pick one at 11, then trade back into the 2nd to grab whichever position we don't get at 11 tonight.

I think it is worth the risk. Especially in the 2nd round.

A chance for an all-pro playmaking linebacker.

I want to continue to improve the front 7, and there's potential for steals. Obviously Jack and Ragland, but I'm also looking at the DEs Noah Spence, Emmanuel Ogbah and Kevin Dodd, and the DT Chris Jones. I'd take any of those and then look for a trade up to secure a CB.

If he happens to drop to our spot and are Sports Science doctors think they can fix him then I would be ok with it.

Having said that Dolphins have so many holes I wouldnt trade up for Jack ,a player who is not going to help us this year if at all.

Alexander would be worth an trade up it but otherwise I would stick to our draft pick order.

I would be tempted to trade up for Henry but as has been stated there are plenty of options later .

A good CB prospect is absolutely essential right now at this spot IMO and Alexander is one of the only top CBs left.

I think we may see the Fins go with TJ Green out of Clemson. He has the size (6'2") and physicality that Vance Joseph is looking for and his stock has been climbing a lot recently.

That said, the idea of landing Jack is amazing and I wouldn't scoff at that either.

I posted this in the Draft Day thread earlier.

My short list would be Ragland, Henry, Jack or Howard. With these names out there, I would have to look at trading back into the 2nd. Imagine if we pulled two of these guys down on top of Tunsil!!!!

Reggie Ragland or Myles Jack would be nice. If both are gone, the best remaining CB would be nice.

Henry would be ideal, imo. Alexander would be intriguing. Jack would make this draft sizzle.

We're rife with marginal corner talent. I really don't think we should grab one just because it's a huge perceived need by the media. Plus, we've got Ifo and contingency plans (Leon Hall).

We might grab a DT and that may be the smartest thing long term.

I'm torn on Jack. I'm willing to leave that decision to Miami's medical team. If they feel Jack is worth the investment of a 2nd round pick, I'm OK with it. If not, I'm OK with that too. There isn't enough public information about his knee for me to really feel one way or another. Suffice it to say, I would love nothing more than to add a play maker of his caliber to Miami's front 7.

I'd trust Dr. James Andrew's evaluation above Miami's medical team. His endorsement is more than enough public info for me.

Didn't know Dr. Andrews weighed in. Link? I'd like to read it. If he's on board, I'm with you.

Shefter reported it on NFL Live, so no link yet that I'm aware of. Per Shefter, Andrews said that Jack won't need micro-fracture surgery. I think that teams yesterday were hesitant b/c Jack said the word "micro-fracture". As always, that resulted in a mix of opinions from teams and fears he wouldn't play this year. Basically moving Jack closer to Smith's situation (3rd or 4th roundish?), but Andrew's statement moves it the other way (ie. he probably will play). I expect that a significant % of those teams put him back on their board for round 2.
