In the sixth and seventh round, I think you are drafting guys with traits that you like. I feel like we have an offense full of Ferraris, and I wanna add big ole 4x4 into the mix. At this point, all we have in the power department are Ingold and Smythe, and one situational concern that I have is short yardage situations. Tua doesn't have the power to QB sneak in those situations, and we had some success with Smythe going in motion and lining up under center and pushing. I would love to draft a big nasty running back to try and compete for a situational role. Waddle and Hill are undersized and great at stretching the field, but I would love a TE/WR that you can toss a back corner fade up to make a contested catch. I think that players like that could balance out our offense.
The Eagles are going to be nasty on defense for awhile- they were already the best pass rushers in the league last year. Sadly, the NFC feels like a one-horse race at this point, while the AFC is wide open.
Well... you'll get Ryan Hayes, OT, and like it! https://www.nfl.com/prospects/ryan-hayes/32004841-5942-5163-913c-79c056f10685
He's obviously not a 1st round talent, but he comes from the best college line in the nation two years in a row. A lot of upside with this kid and he could end up in our rotation as the season wears on. I do like that he has great fundamentals and technique though, even if he struggles with speed rushers at times. With a little growth, he could actually be a starter a year or two down the road.
