I am not aware of this radar source, but many fallacies about the funeral have been printed. However, the expectation level, regardless of the actual event details, are evident in the responses. Just sayin'

Well lets be honest, the family was a bit of a mess and something like this isn't out of the realm of possibility for them. Take the BET awards for example, just a couple days after his son's death and at an event he was attending to remember and honor his son, Michael Jackson's father was asked about how his wife and kids were holding up and he brushed the question off to promote his new record label. There seems to be a major emotional disconnect in that family, which makes a story like this all the more believable.

His mother has not spoken publicly, currently has custody of the kids, is the primary executor of the estate. She has been separated from the father for years, and therefore, it would seem likely she'd have a say in the funeral. Like I said, honestly, expectations.

But your wording of "sorry to disappoint" implies that we want to see this turn into a greedy circus sideshow, rather than us just being used to things being wacky with that family. If I'm misreading it, I apologize, but I don't think anyone here wants to see this turn into a spectacle. :up:
