Don't shoot the messenger. i don't agree and i hope Dennis Green is wrong, but i thought i would post this article from PFT for whatever its worth.

Hell NO, F No, F Vick.
I would rather lose without him than win with him.
I'm not going to shoot the messenger, but I might:shifty:Puka-head likes this. -
Only reason I'm opposed to it, is that there is no-one I would cut to make room for him.
-
the only reason Green is saying that is because of the wildcat...

Can't pay to much attention to what D.Greene said...
If the way he thinks is the way he coached, then we know why he is out of a job and still out of one...
What has he been up to lately????
That's right, no one knows, and this is just a way to grab attention...after "we knew what they were and we let them get away," speach...
We mostly read what Parcells and the FO said about Pat White, and to why he drafted him. His accuracy, something that Vicks surely lacks...Frumundah Finnatic, steveincolorado and calphin like this. -
No way Goddell lets Vick play in the NFL in 2009.
Wake me in 2010 and we can have a robust discussion then. -
I think somebody kicked "Denny" in the balls a little too hard (Anybody ever here him talk).
This guy has no idea what he is talking about IMHO -
Dennis Green was a smart and good coach in my opinion but the addition of Vick wouldn't make much sense to me. Vick is by far the most dangerous running quarterback I've ever seen but his passing isn't much different than Pat White's, who's also a guy they invested an early second round pick for and is pretty elusive in the open field himself. I also don't think that the reinstatement of Vick should be automatically included. Who knows if he's back? He violated federal laws and lied to the commissioner's face more than once when asked about dog fighting.

Study his gigs as HC at Minnesota and Arizona
He had by far more talent than anybody in Minny and couldn't get the job done.
He is barely removed from FAILING miserably in Phoenix and they go to the freakin Superbowl.
I think he has had very very fortunate opportunities and has floundered miserably both places. :up:opfinistic and Disnardo like this. -

It does sound far-fetched, but I know that all of us, or at least most of us have complete faith in Parcells and the rest of our organization.
Whether I am for Vick or not, I have enough faith in our FO that if that is what they think we need to become more successful, then I will support them. -

Who'd a thunk it...
Chances are good Green himself is trying to sign Vick up for the UFL and by bringing Tuna's name into the mix that could give him cover to do so.
That or Green is trying to drive a segment of Dolphins fans insane with rage over the thought of Vick in coral and white... -
-
Seriously, my friend, don't post without including a link and don't post whole articles. Not doing so will get us in deep doo doo. -
The other thing i was thinking was, since when does Dennis Green know what Parcells wants? Does he know what kind of cereal Parcells prefers too? LOL -

Alright Dennis..you keep on coaching your D3 outcasts and forget about NFL for now. The only thing that will keep you in NFL news is ESPN from now on.

I don't think Green was that far off. If we hadn't drafted White (and Goodell reinstated Vick) I would bet that Parcells would have looked hard at Vick. I don't want Vick on this team but I think Parcells has been dreaming of a way to make that offense more dangerous. Parcells also wouldn't care about the negative publicity or be worried about controlling Vick.

Green is an extremely ignorant guy and always has been. He obviously doesnt know that we drafted Pat White for the wildcat so he might as well stop talking.

They are who we thought they are

Puka-head My2nd Fav team:___vs Jets Club Member
I say bring him aboard. He can be on the practice squad and play the opposing teams DB trying to stop Ronnie Brown on the goal line. I think he would make a great speed bump.
All kidding aside, I think Vick forfeited his priveleges to play in the NFL. But lucky for him, I'm not the commish.Frumundah Finnatic and Fin D like this. -
Not to derail this but:
He inherited a Not so good team in a very very tough Conference, and made them...well, not so good. No real accompishment there.
Not sure exactly how much coaching was going on there.
Once again, I suggest going and studying the roster he had to work with in Minnesota. Insane Talent on both sides of the ball. IMO, there is no way he shouldve been as in-effective as he was...but he pulled it off.
Once again, he had GREAT talent in Arizona, mostly due to the fact Arizona had been bad sooooo many consecutive years in a row, they had several High- First round picks.
I honestly thought Green was a better coach until I shared an office with a Huge Vikings fan as Green was going to Arizona. He very quickly educated me to Green's inability to coach. He very often poked my nose in it as the Cards floundered under Green... -
1994 - Steve Walsh blew that game against Chicago with 2 interceptions and the team totaled 4.
1996 - Brad Johnson two interceptions and the team had six as a whole.
1997 - Got to the second round by beating their first opponent. They played well (statistically) against the 49ers but were beaten because they couldn't match up from a talent standpoint. Also, Cunningham threw an INT for 6.
1998 - Lost on a late field goal against Atlanta in the second playoff game. Final was 30-27.
1999 - Got to the second round and faced the Rams, who won the SB that year I believe. Jeff George threw one pick and the Vikings defense allowed 49 points.
2000 - Got to the second round to face the NYG, who were in the SB that year. Culpepper threw three interceptions and the defense allowed 41 points.
IMO, it looks like his players, specificially his QB's, failed to execute the game plan.

Meshawn is hosting "Rome is Burning" and had a small segment where he basically backed-up Green's statement & agreed that Parcells would persue Vick if/when he is re-instated.
I think he is also still waiting for Parcells to sign him to our WR corps.....cnc66 and steveincolorado like this. -
Does anyone know if this tidbit was the source of Tim Graham's ESPN.com speculation about Vick as a possibility in Miami?
