LOS ANGELES - Dennis Hopper has been diagnosed with prostate cancer and is canceling all travel plans to focus on treatment.
Manager Sam Maydew says the 73-year-old actor and artist is being treated through a "special program" at the University of Southern California.
Asked about Hopper's prognosis, Maydew said, "We're hoping for the best."

That sucks, he's one of my favorite actors. Hoping for a full recovery and that he doesn't suffer too much.:sad:

Dennis Hopper strikes me as the type of guy who would laugh right in Cancer's face. Whether he's hurling ethnic insults at his captors, playin' with monkeys in St. Bartz (on acid), or just plain blowing **** up, the guy is a true badass.

Hopefully he can recover from this. -
Hopefully he does well and from the people I have known who had prostate cancer it seems fairly treatable and he should be able to keep it suppressed.
