Researching him now, don't know if he's a starter or not. Highlight reel makes it seem like he's a cover LB with pretty good speed side to side. Also shows him with two different teams, so guessing he's not a starter. I do sense a trend here though in the type of LB we're seeking....
Elliott turns 26 in April. He appeared in 14 games and made 13 starts in Detroit last season while amassing 96 tackles and one interception. Elliott has appeared in 42 games (35 starts), recording 205 tackles, two interceptions and 3.5 sacks. He played college football at Texas with Dolphins safety Brandon Jones. This is an under the radar signing that could turn out to be a high reward addition for us. I absolutely love this signing. This guy can play, he'll add depth, he has starting experience. Great addition.
