http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jTnzk7kNpR0 He has better hands than i thought. After watching this I'm surprised he wasn't drafted.
thats why it was a highlight film bro.... i can show you a highlight film that would make you think Chris Chambers has the greatest hands in the history of the NFL... if you only show the good plays, EVERY player looks like a pimp mack daddy master flex...
I understand how the system works. But those were some nice catches and he had to have a hand in Brennen's record breaking career.
I think Bess has excellent hands. The problem with him is when you look at him you see sort of a "dime a dozen" type of NFL receiver...not really the kind of guy that starts scaring people with what he can do. He's the kind of guy that would operate well if you had a great QB and you ran a lot of spread formations. Wouldn't be surprised if the Patriots had an offer on the table from him.
Must have been a low-ball offer I really like Bess as well. If he can stay out of trouble I think he could be a definite 3rd down/slot threat. Also seemed to be good on screens at Hawaii. I dont know how many WR screens the Phins will run, but its always nice to have a guy with hands as sure as his.
With all those catches he didn't fumble once in college and if you'll notice at about 1:48 into the vid as he is crossing the goal the guy is trying to knock the ball lose. I hope he does well for us.
We need that third down possesion WR, that wll be the major Wr competition in TC, Bess has a good shot at filling that role unless Derek Hagan drank deeply from the Fountain of Motivation this offseason..
thanks for the vid. I like the addition of this guy, hope he can come through and make the roster thats for sure.
That's easy. Why don't you show us a video of wes welker making all those circus catches Chris Chambers made and makes.
Now these aren't circus catches, but whose highlights look better, Wes or Bess? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=or9nXE-T1KM Show highlights of any skill player good enough to try out for an NFL team and you had better be blown away.
One thing I noticed about him is that he jumps a lot before making a catch. Sometimes it isn't even necessary to do so. With the new NFL push out rule, or lack there of, he may be a liability on the sidelines. That may be coachable, but seems to be a tendancy of his. I think he has a lot of upside as a slot WR, and personally hopes he finds a role on this team.
