Hey does anyone know if we are there and who is actually there if someone is there? On side a note Schefter tweeted that Bryant ran a 4.32 40 last week. Definitly bad for us as far as chances of him being there at 12. Great if he is.

If the 40 time is true Bryant never gets out of the top ten. Goes to the Broncos I'd wager.

Supposedly he looks good (fit). Haven't heard any numbers though. Apparently, the stream isn't so good.

This shows his dedication, even having to take a year off, he stayed in great shape.
This kid is going to be really really special for the right team.Bpk and orangefinfan like this. -

Anyone have a link to the stream?

The rumor is that somebody has an offer on the table to move up to Oakland's spot. It could well be Dallas who's having dinner with Bryant tomorrow night.
It could be bad for news for us or it might mean they are willing to send us Austin (for what I don't know).Bpk likes this. -

Dez Bryant, "the player" is ruining my predraft buzz. -

Per Darlington....
I'm told the Dolphins, unlike many teams, are not represented by any big names at Dez Bryant's Pro Day. No Jeff Ireland. No Bill Parcells.
I dont think this is a smokescreen, hey listen it isnt a hard thing to see, that Miami could be and should be interested in a WR, and he would be the guy at 12...I dont buy they are trying to make it look like they do not want him, if anything you show up in force, so if you really are considering him, you can get a good look at him, and 2 if he does make it to 12, hopefully the phones are ringing off the hook, namely Jerry Jones, who supposedly is having dinner with him tonight... -
I would love for us to trade down, then we could always get Benn or Thomas at WR with our second pick.
I still think Bryant will be great for somebody though.finyank13 likes this. -
I'm not a Bryant fan, to me the entire evaluation and the hope that is pinned to drafting him is absolutely murdering the normally jovial feelings that come from having a relatively high draft pick. -

this whole thing is predicated on Marshall.....and whether he stays or leaves Denver......if he leaves, I dont see him making it past Denver u know?? -

Beating press coverage and winning body-position battles on contested balls both matter more than a 0.2 second speed differential.
Also, I care 100X more about a receiver's clocked TOP speed, not just his acceleration. I wish we could get THOSE stats. After the first ten yards or so it's whoever has a higher top gear.gunn34 likes this. -
IMO he ran about what he was supposed to. I never expected him to run better than a 4.5. He just doesn't look that fast on film. He has always looked to have Fitz-like speed. If I had to put money on it, I would have said 4.55 just based on the film/size, etc. Now I expect that there will be some scouts that have his time as faster than 4.57 and some slower. That's what always happens with manual times. 1/4 second disparities are the norm, not the exception. I would only have had speed concerns if he was slower than 4.6. -
I still have Earl Thomas, Derrick Morgan and Jermaine Gresham at the top of my personal draft board.
All 3 can be Day 1 starters, all 3 fit needs, all three will be there at #12 imho.Rocky Raccoon likes this. -

will jacoby ford be a better nfl WR than dez bryant, lafell, thomas, benn? no. but he ran a faster 40.
the 40 yard dash is over rated imo. your not often running 40 yards in a straight line in football. the shuttle is more important imo. hip flexability and the ability to change direction.....THAT is huge for the sport of football -
Always good to see you in here.
You still in Vegas? -
Earl Thomas is my guy too...I'm sorry I just dont see them going into the season with either Clemons or Culver starting I dont....they pass on Bryant if Thomas is there...plus I have a feeling Nolan is going to be yapping it up come draft day.....
which brings me back Pads to the "if we could have have a room with a 2-way mirror on it"....hahahaha Nolan for all purposes in the most accomplished coach they have, I would think his thoughts are going a long way April 22ndpadre31 likes this. -

Ford could easily end up better than bryant, lafell, thomas or benn.
"If" he winds up in Indy, or San Diego, or whereever, sometimes where a player lands is more important than all of the measurables one can find. -
-
Instead they went to Free Agency something we won't be doing. -
The 4.57 came directly from a scout who was there timing him themselves that is why it was "unconfirmed".
