I'm leaving for the game in a bit. GOD only knows when I will be home, and has not told me, or the condition I may be in. LOL I would like to keep this thread going weekly. I can start by saying that Bess is rated the #4 overall WR in the NFL by PFF. Marshall is #5. Here's hoping there are MANY more GOOD things to post after the game. TIME TO GO KICK SOME PAT'S ***!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, last night sure as hell did not go as planned. Fortunately I was too drunk to type when I got home, a good thing. I am committed to this thread, or maybe should be for keeping it going after last night. Strangely enough, there were a lot of good things to take from this game. Cam Wake was OUTSTANDING, reminding me of JT vs Brady. Langford had VG game with 5 tackles and a sack. Vontae Davis ELIMINATED Moss, first time with a 0 in 51 games. Our secondary, with a big assist from pressure, held Brady to 150 yards. Bess was money, 9 catches, 90 yards, and a TD. "Old Man" Rickey was his old self from last year. Carrol looks like he may be a decent KR. Ignore this one if ya like. In spite of a couple of BIG BLUNDERS, Henne is progressing. Steve Young said he is reading the field but, doing it too fast, looking robotic at times. The game has not slowed down for him yet. When it does, I still believe he is going to be special. JMO
Thanks for the write-up. Even after the cluster**** that was last night, it is nice to read the positives.
keep these threads up throughout the season. i think they are needed. agree about henne. i think him improving on how he reads the field is the key. once he learns what is going on better, he will improve dramatically. its coming.
This is a very young, and developing team. How could anyone not look at the positives from last night in hindsight? An All Pro completely shut down by a second year CB? Wake becoming our Beast on D? UFA Bess becoming the best slot receiver in the game? Etc. These guys are becoming special in very little time.
Some of those "pups" learned to hunt last night, and that old grizzly SOB Rickey showed that his demise was greatly exaggerated.
That Ol dog may not have any new tricks but, piss him off (as I believe happened) and he will bite back.
No, I got that from Barry Jackson, from the Herald. They want $90 for the season, and for me it's not worth it.
