For those of you not familiar, this is a thread I started last year. It's intent is to have one thread which is for nothing but good news from our team's last game. This week will be a short list but, here goes.
Chad "Crazy Legs" Henne had a VG-great game. The stats were nice but, they will go up and down. I was more impressed with his emotion (that 1st TD showed it), his confidence (heated exchange with Marshall), and his leadership. All three will remain.
From a stat's standpoint, he was 4-8 on deep throws (very impressive), was sacked 4 times, 12 hits, and 18 hurries, and only 1 hurry was his fault (PFF). Out of 57 drop backs, he was pressured 27 times, and hit on 12 of 21 passes with a TD. These stats impress me more than the 400 yards.
Anthony Fasano had a VG-great game. Some pick on him, and I have no idea why. He was targeted 5 times, made 5 catches for 82 yards, and a couple of catches were VG.
Our WR's had good games. Marshall caught 7-8 catchable balls, with a drop. Bess was 5-6, with a drop, and Hartline was 4-4, with no drops.
Reggie Bush was pretty good. He caught 9-10 passes, gave Henne a VG outlet, but was so-so in running the ball, although exciting.
Pouncey was pretty good as well. He gave up no sacks, no hits, and 3 pressures, while doing a good job in run blocking. He has the potential to be special.
That's all I got for this week. Anyone else?

Yeah, not enough has been said about Henne's legs. Loved seeing him use them to get the TD and a couple key first downs. That's what made Aaron Rodgers so damn hard to defend last year, aside from the amazing arm and all. I'm hoping and praying he can keep playing at this level.

Bush could be, but he needs to be used solely as a receiver. He is not a RB, and never will be an effective one - at least not behind this OLine. -

Since it is the DGNN we can always point out Odrick had enough awareness to pick off Brady and run it back. Too bad he doesnt have a stiff arm like Welkers... :shifty:

Now, since this is the positive thread I'll say Henne did a fantastic job of seeing the blitz/pass rush & acknowledging when the underneath was open to run. In fact Henne did a great job overall with the pass rush, save for taking that one sack in the red zone -
I would like to add that we are talking about football instead of the lockout.

Technically it may not be graded as a drop , but I would term it as a ball that should have been caught. -
I can't believe I did this but somehow managed to leave out the Dolphins Cheerleaders. Even worse, no one else caught it. :)

positives:
-Special Teams were not a net liability, which is an improvement
-Henne of course
-Colombo looked fine to me
-Henne's 420 yds or so were the most the pats have given up since..wait for it..Dan Marino 17 yrs ago.
Negatives:
-Nolan was out coached,
-Daboll had a hiccup at the 1 yd line, poor play calling there imo
-Rb's besides Bush produced nothing
-Defensive secondary was roasted alive on a spit, Nolan Carroll got a baptism by live fire and drowned.
-YBell..cannot cover a fire hydrant apparently.
