Why is he leaving, though? Is he trying to become a HC?

He'll turn 78 before week 1 of 2015. I also don't think Joe Philbin would be willing to bring on someone with as much cache as LeBeau.

He could be 105 and he'd still be an upgrade over Coyle.

Lebeau and our D being healthy would be scary as hell. Make him assistant head coach DC. Coyle can go back to working the drive thru.

For all the talk about the Steelers and their love on continuity I'm shocked they would get rid of Lebeau. Will never happen but would be great to have him as DC in Miami.

If you're spending that much money may as well offer it to Rex Ryan.

He could be dead, and a monkey reading his playbook might be better than Coyle.

Ryan has said he wants Trestman as his OC. That's just crazy enough to try it.

Lebeau would certainly be an upgrade over Coyle but I think it is pretty clear that Philbin has no intention of replacing Coyle.

He only replaced Sherman last year because he was forced to do so by Ross. I don't think Ross is going to force Philbin to fire another coordinator.

Philbin was a career assistant coach prior to taking the job with the Dolphins and he just appears to support his assistants to a fault. My expectation is that Philbin will stick with all the assistants he had this past season and the only way any changes will be made is if any of the assistants decide to leave on their own for a better opportunity with another team.

Trestman would be a great OC IMO, especially paired w Ryan.

There's no reason why he would come here.

It would be the best thing to happen to Dion Jordan since the single-use syringe though
