OK guys here's what I got from the wife for Christmas and am sort of wondering if I should just get a full-refund (she wouldn't care) or keep it:

2300.47 TOTAL with 7% tax already included and everything brand new...

    SONY KDL-52XBR9 ---->http://www.amazon.com/Sony-BRAVIA-KDL-52XBR9-52-Inch-1080p/dp/B001VFMA5Q

    PS3 120gb system

    1 blu-ray movie

    1 PS3 game

    5 year Sony extended warranty

I am wondering if I should say thanks but I'll wait until around Superbowl time or if this is a good deal. It all came in a package deal so its not like I can break it up either. The package was 1899.99 but then when you ad the warranty and tax it comes out to 2300.47.

Seems so... That TV seems to be going for about $1700 - $1800 plus a $300 PS3 and a game and movie. I guess if extended warranties are that important to you it's a legit deal.

    OK

Warranties were not an issue in the past until I got my XBR1 TV and I got a warranty (thankfully) for free basically from Brandsmart at the time and when the TV broke down 3 times I am glad I had it. So now I am sort of tentative to not have a long lasting warranty.

I figure 250 bucks isnt bad for 5 years (or better said 4 years after the initial 1st year which is free anyway) given that anything that fails with it would problably cost that much or more to get someone out to fix it.

I just noticed on this receipt that I could essentially take back the PS3 and get back 300+ tax on it and essentially just get the TV for 1599 + warranty, so I'd save some cash there.

So...MOR ! Is the PS3 worth it yet or....

I must admit I am intrigued by Demon Souls...the fact that its hard (supossedly) only makes me want to play it even more.

There is no "supposedly" when talking about Demon's Souls being hard. It is very challenging, and very rewarding because of it.

that won't work. you got a package deal, returning the PS3 (or the game or DVD at that rate) will only cause you to pay pull price for the other things. Example, a few weeks ago I was looking at a Bravia+Blu Ray deal..the TV alone was 1160, but the TV with the blu ray was 1120....getting the player actually lowered the price on the blu ray. Another example is the package I bought..the TV is listed at $1,400..i got a PS3 a game and blu ray movie with it for $1,100....if I take the PS3 back i'll get hit with the TV being listed at 1,400.

That said, your reasoning is sound if you planned on buying a PS3 anyway. You got a great price on a great setup. The only place for people to take issue is on the warranty.....typically they're a net loss and I chose to forego mine..BUT I did get one on an LG that came in VERY handy when it broke 3 times in the first 4 months......so you're paying for the peace of mind which I fully understand.

Nope. It worked with out a problem. It got returned  (of course with the movie and game too - but I dont care)

Not only that, but I found out that Best Buy in Tampa was selling the TV for 1498.99 and the dude price matched it.

So I got the TV for 1498.99 with the Warranty (250) and taxes was all about 1871 or some odd dollars.

I'll get the PS3 again later on after I recoup some cash but I am happy as hell.

I got the TV and its sweet. I hooked up all of my systems to it, Nintendo (1985), SNES, 360, XBOX1, PS2, Panasonic 3DO, Genesis.

I put my wifes Wii on the older TV

I was scared about what some people say - that these TVs have, 'Input Lag' but NOTHING that I play shows any of that, online or off.

Not even with the Game mode 'OFF' and all of the TVs processing left at factory default settings.

I am talking about all sources too not just 1080p ones, as the 480i NES stuff is just as good. For example, when playing Mike Tysons Punch Out, I weaved and dodged just as responsively as I did on my CRT.

So its a great gaming TV IMHO.
