He missed a block or 2 but I still think he's an improving player with enough youth and health to ascend to being a great all-purpose TE.
I didn't realize just how big he was until the announcers mentioned his size. 285 pounds with very good movement at that size and improving hands.
The league is full of one-trick ponies at TE but Sims is surely ascending beyond that.

Anyways.. he has to clean up the blocking. Love the touchdown catch, love the RAC on that one completion, but I think both times he whiffed the 49ers ended up with a sack or at least, a blown play. In-line blocking was supposed to be his forte.

My biggest issue with him is the injury history. Concussions, to be exact. I can think of at least two from the past two seasons, where he has missed significant time. It will probably be a concern throughout his career, and as such, I am not sure you can make him your true #1 TE option.

He does have the skills for it and getting better. On that note, I'm really liking Marqueis Gray as well. -
