Do i need internet for blackberry for Verizon?

i'm not entirely sure but i wanted to get one and my sister told me you have to have the internet with it. she could be wrong though

It's true.

As of last Friday, a data plan of $29.99 or greater is now mandatory for all new PDA/Smartphone contracts with Verizon. Pay As You Go data plans also been discontinued on new contracts. Existing plans are still safe.

I know that T-Mobile and Sprint don't require a data plan.

Make the throwback uniforms permanent!

Yes, you will need to select either the Blackberry Solution Unlimited Data Usage option which is usually $44.99/month or the Email and Web for BlackBerry which is $29.99/month
