Put it another way....if...big if....we somehow manage to make the playoffs and/or win the division, the players get the credit.
Lazor is fine but Philbin and Coyle couldn't coordinate their way or coach their way out of a room with one exit.
Philbin was voted the worst HC in the league by rotoworld.com and a few other sites (excluding rookie HC's).
Sadly those polls are right and he's still here.

There is a reason why Joe Philbin is one of the lowest paid coaches in the NFL, even after his extension.
