Wes was about the only bright spot on this team outside of Ronnie Brown for a few years... But then he badmouthed us after he was traded if I recall correctly. Anyway, how do you think this offense would look with Welker here? Do you think he would be a #1 receiver by default? Would he give us more options for the Wildcat? Do you think our record would be any better with him here?
I haven't missed him since he said what he did about Miami after joining the Panzies. Period, end of.
Screw him. I don't miss him at all. I'm happy with the players here now who don't dream of being on the other sideline.
For those of you wondering, here's what I recall: If I remember right, Welker made a comment along the lines of looking at the Patriots on the other sideline, and always wanting to play for them. He also made a comment that was along the lines of he was tired to losing to the Patriots, so he wanted to join them, and how it was nice to join a winning team. To answer the original question, if someone doesn't want to play for this franchise, then I don't want them here. I'm glad that he's gone, and I'm even more glad we got Satele in the process. He fits in well with the Patriots franchise.
I still do , one of the best players we lost what we get a 2nd and not sure who we pick up with that.
Other than a tough catch or two he was nothing special here in Miami. It'll suck to be him when we win a Superbowl before he does.
For a 2nd and a 7th? Hell no. Considering the fact that we managed to pick Greg Camarillo up from the same place for free and he's playing better than Welker did here makes it a whole lot more palatable too. Camarillo isn't putting up quite the numbers Welker is, but he also doesn't get to ride Randy Moss' nuts to work every morning either.
No, I don't. Now the big question is...how do I get the "Welker" off my #83 jersey and replace it with "Camarillo"?
I miss him as a player but after what he said it's better that he's not in Miami anyways. He was one of better wr's Miami ever had but he didn't want to be here so we got what we could for him.
I friggin hate welker, i wish a lb would hit him good make him scared to go his little slashes over the middle. Wes "Kantstanja" Welker
I don't miss welker. Personally I dont think he's all that great either. Theres no denying he can catch, and he's quick, and a bit shifty, and he's got a big heart out there, but I think his huge success in NE is because of the real weapons of their offence, just allow him to get open much easier as defenses are focusing more on moss etc... Also yeah, i don't miss him either and wont forget the junk he said. I wonder how he felt standing on the sidelines earlier this season when we embarrassed the pats?
That may have been a direct result of facing Chris Jenkins so early in the year. Did you see that guy pushing Dan Koppen around last night? Dude is a horse!
Wes Who ?? I don't begrudge him getting traded, but to diss us after he left showed no class at all...he's joined the NE classless group up there...so, no...I don't miss him at all... Of course, I have to give him credit that he didn't land with the Jests and make that comment...
i hated him even when he was with us. i would call him "rudy" and say the only thing he was good for was taking a hit. other people on this board agued with me, but im glad he's gone. last year tom brady made him look like jerry rice and all the sheepish media just jumped on it. i'm glad to see he's falling back to earth now.
