Honest debate does Daboll as HC have the potential to show something impressive down the line?

No, he's another cheerleader, though he knows how to coach an offense so I think his potential is bigger than Sparano seeing as he has an area of expertise but... his potential will fall as flat as it is for Jason Garrett right now of the Cowboys.
Besides I'm pretty sure Daboll has 100% say on the offensive calls, which only brought 13 measley points. -
Ya know, it's not out of the realm of possibility.
I think Mike Nolan would be much more likely. But he's showing himself to be a really good coordinator. -
How about we see if he can handle offensive coordinator first?

I can't say he's doing a bad job as OC. Can't review performance by such a limited microscope as 13 points. His calls for the most part are fine.

I'm not sure we really have any of the necessary information to make an accurate assessment. All we see is his offense, which really hasn't been very good. But there is a lot more to it than that.

I guess you have to review the calls one by one. Really hard to say.
-
Some people thought Cam Cameron would be a good HC .Being a good OC doesnt always equate to being a good HC.
I would think Nolan would be a logical choice to move up.emocomputerjock likes this. -
Caroll got off lucky he got burnt on another Andre Johnson pass play earlier. As far as Nolan coaching, I'd like to see how he does on a second run around if he's not so conservative on play calling.
-
Do I even have to tell you Reshad Jones? That guy can't help over the top. He's a SS through and through.

I dont see either coordinator as an ideal HC for this team. This team is going to need a coach thats been there and done that and I dont think Ross will accept anything less....
Cowher may as well fill in the 0's on the blank check now. This team is in a bad state right now. Though not talentless, they are clearly lacking in execution and mental toughness. Cowher's Steelers teams never had those problems. With a young group, this is going to be an important next hire and at this rate, Sparano may not make it til December.Matt5202 likes this. -

The relaying of information onto the field, the preparation, everything has been garbage. Sparano is at fault. Does Nolan run a tighter ship?
-

That's bull crap. Results matter overall, assessing performance has to be done on the basic level by each unit and each performance. The team is 0-2 that's the result.
Everything under that has to be observed, looked at, and critiqued. -
can't say for sure. I was never high on Nolan or Daboll. Retreads other teams got rid of...........???????????? That's a sure way to a Superbowl. It's like building a team from all the players other teams cut and expect to win the Superbowl.......notice the difference in New England. Bellicheck always is upgrading with talent he develops thru excellent assistants or tried and proven veterans - who excel like Wes Welker:wink2:

Off course they can be fixed if we had a decent HC. I would honestly say Carey and Colombo probably lost Miami about ten points by themselves. Carey was terrible. Absolutely terrible. Colombo was garbage.
BUT THESE ARE THINGS THAT 95% of talked about before the season began. We knew this would be bad, we knew Burnett-Dansby was a weak ILB combo if they're not protected, we knew Bush couldn't run up the middle, we knew all of this bull****. Yet they still ****ing did it. -
He's a retread too. ;) -

If Daboll is a HC in waiting, I don't want him to cut his teeth here. Let him learn how to run a franchise somewhere else.
-
We knew that Carey and Colombo would suck though. We knew that for a fact. This forum yelled that the team must sign Brian Waters. This forum begged for Bryant McKinnie or even the Dolphins own Nate Garner (who played well:pity:) to start at RT. We were yelling Caroll must be cut. Nope. Reshad Jones must not start.

Easy to consider. Art Modell firing Bill Bellicheck was a huge mistake. Bellicheck was fired for QB problems. From Kosar to Tomzack and Testeverde Bellicheck never had a chance including the time when Modell was going to move the team to Baltimore.
-
how about we avoid anyone who has worked with Parcells?
-
The team's personnel is actually somewhat system specific. I don't think a lot of these guys like Langford, Henne etc can play in all systems. You would be better off hiring from within and improving the quality of the coaches, not going with say Gruden who would dislike Henne's poor short accuracy or a 4-3 coach that would be like, wtf do I do with Wake since he's not really large enough to play right end?
I would like to see Nolan get a shot for that reason. -
-
Because it's an easy solution. It's just a bunch of absolute statements. Look up and down the coaching rosters who are some retreads or coordinators who would make sense?
-
The same goes for Sean Payton. -
****. No.

they have one of the or arguably the best 3rd down chain movers in Bess and how many times have they even thrown to him on 3rd down i dont think even 1 pass has been thrown his way on 3rd down. that my friend is not knowing your personell
