I honestly am concerned about this man. 4th and 1 at the Jets 42. Punt. End of the half with a timeout and 45 seconds and he sits on the ball. In addition to being a terrible, unintelligent NFL HC, he's gutless. Tony, you have nothing to lose and yet you still play it safe. Oh btw, brilliant idea not to draft or go find some more pass rush this offseason. Until this dead man walking is finally canned, this team deserves no support. On the bright side, if Tony rides out the year we may get Andrew. Anyway, off to enjoy the rest of my evening.

He hasnt had a chance to call a timeout to check the AFCE standings yet. So, he's probably not sure.

Ok so, what if he goes for it and they have a turnover on downs? You would still hate him and criticize him for going for it. Statistics show that going for it on 4th down results in a 1st down most of the time. But how often do coaches go for it? The statistics would be completely different if teams went for it on 4th down more often. Football is a game of field position, I know you have heard that saying before.

I'm not sure Sparano knows the difference between a zero and a doughnut. At least Rex knows which one is food.

It just takes a win to get yourself going, you know, right now that's all we're worried about.
We’ve got to look at it from a coaching standpoint and a players’ standpoint ... We have to look at some of the things we’re asking them to do. Then we’ve got to look at some of the people that are doing it.. -
I was also surprised at those calls. But then I remembered that this has been Sparano's MO his entire tenure. I wish him all the success in the world in whatever coaching job he gets from one of his Parcells friends.

After sitting on the ball to end the first half, it should be beyond clear that Tony Sparano is the major problem here. He pulled this last year and I forgot who it was calling the game was incredulous about the decision just like Gruden was tonight. Tony, you're fired!
BM dropping yet another potential TD pass. He might get to 16 in 16 games. Well done chuckle head.Bpk likes this. -
Sad thing is, I doubt he even cares anymore. He's just going thru the motions knowing he won't coach this team very much longer.

We should check his contract - maybe there is a stipulation buried in there somewhere that we need to get the first overall pick or he doesn't get paid. He certainly is coaching like Luck is his goal.

Sporano should of already been fired. We should of named Nolan as our temporary and start openly interviewing coaches and gms. There is no point in riding the season out with either of these two clowns.

we are in danger of going 0-16 with or without him. we need to start holding open interviews. Ross better do his homework and find us a real coach not some flashy big money big name pick but a real coah and a real gm.

We need to Craigslist a head coach...

But I still insist on keeping him for the rest of the season. With the power of Moore who lead the Panthers to the promiseland of the 1st overall pick last year, and Sprano's total incompetence, they are the dream team for the first overall pick. If it ain't broken, don' fix it.

What is the point of relieving your Captain of his duties when your Ship is already half submerged, sinking?
The Ship is beyond the point of rescue. It's going down to the bottom of the ocean. Just let him go down with the ship.dolfan32323 likes this. -

Why wait 3 months to begin fixing something that is broken now, thats the point. -

I'm going to get creamed for this one but I don't see much difference between Cowher ball and Wanny ball and I don't really want to see that again. Cowher is obviously a better coach but I find him slightly overrated anway.
Over his career Cowher only averaged 9 wins a season. Which is good but kind of BLEH. By comparison Dave average 8 wins a season. -

I don't care if he wants to come here or not but whoever does have interest is not going to be effected in a positive way by keeping Sporano or Ireland here. If anything firing them sends a clear message to the rest of the leauge that we are serious about hiring a new staff and it allows anyone potentially interested to begin looking at us and evaluating what they will do in the offseason to begin turning things around. Hanging onto these clowns offers us zero benefit in my opinion.
